Not everybody is that experienced to flash a phone. The point he's making is true. Been there 2 generations of OP, and there won't be a 3rd.

That's what made me switch from Xiaomi to Samsung. I had a poco F1 until I upgraded it to the F3 (F1 is still going strong, gave it to my stepdad after replacing the battery) but the software experience was dreadful. Updates were few and far between, and I had an issue with notification bubbles being cut in half that was really annoying, and all the dev blogs said it was a known issue, and a fix would come "soon".
Had 0 software issues with my S21, I complain about the battery a lot, but I knew what I was buying because I wanted a small phone. Already on android 13, and Samsung releases updates regularly, last one somehow made my cameras a bit better, believe it or not! Only thing I miss is the macro mode I had on the poco F3, that the regular S21 does not have.

I would actually love to know this because currently I have the OnePlus 9, non-pro, and while I enjoy it, the updates for OOS 12 and then 13, I've continued to have more issues as time goes on and I'm considering jumping ship for my next upgrade.

In my experience, software support for OnePlus is just downright awful. Their new phones work great until the next new phone comes out, then they basically give up on keeping features up to date with Android OS updates. The result is that the hardware and software become buggy, forcing the user to either upgrade their phone or abandon OnePlus. I suggest the latter for its user base.

Ah, yes. The company with a fraction of the issues of any other tech company in the same sectors. The only reason you hear more about Apple is because of how big they are, and how passionate their users are.

Failed to read where I clearly stated “I know people in the appliance repair industry”? That’s me clearly stating that it’s hearsay.
And failed to notice the follow-up comment from an actual appliance repair tech? That’s called corroborating evidence.

When a single company makes both, the company culture that allows one product line to rot into supremely unreliable crap is the same culture controlling the other as well. It’s only a matter of time.

These photos make it look a lot better than what we saw with earlier renders. Though the 11 is still pretty ugly overall.
What is the point of OnePlus anymore though after being so oppo-fied?

That was my experience with the one I got. Switched to LG and though I've been very happy with the last two phones I got, my next won't be able to be an LG
