I'll be honest I don't think the pixels have that exact feature. It does sound very helpful for that niche. I'll have to double check on the newer pixels, I'm still rocking a 4XL that has location based alerts but not an SOS feature.

Lost hikers have been getting rescued recently using new GPS emergency SOS program on their phones. Im not sure all of the details because I dont have an iPhone. Normally, they'd be relying on something like a Garmen InReach or SPOT. I'm currently using Android with bottom of the barrel phone that'll need replacing soonish. But I dont plan to get an iphone. So, I'm hoping someone else comes out with an equivalent (or hopefully better) feature.
You're saying pixel already has this feature? Because that would be awesome. Which models? Thanks!

I love him and his work with lasers and electricity and everything that can kill a human in less time than it takes someone to say "oh crap I'm gonna die"

Noctua isn’t alone in the premium performance fan department anymore. Phanteks t30 and the new be quiet silent wings.
Personally I like the phanteks t30 they sport a slightly wider blade than traditional 120mm fans, so they’re already cheating the competition a little but at the end of the day they push more air but with their design they might not fit every application particularly in some cpu coolers where you might have a fan sandwiched in between two radiators. The fans themselves are of a much tighter tolerance than you’ll find in just about any ABS fan, glass fibre reinforced material is very recognizable across all three of the aforementioned manufacturers in their premium line and it has less play than ABS which you might find in an RGB fan. Both phanteks and be quiet have 3000rpm models a feature which is obtrusively loud to use but a nice to have just in case you ever repurpose your fans for anything else like making your own little server room or a drying cabinet, while the ceiling of 3000rpm is completely impractical for daily use I find my t30’s do hit a nice balance at 1800-2000rpm in my closed case with noise comparable to my old Corsair fans clapped out at 1400rpm while also pushing more air even if the rpm’s were even.

I bought one for the Xbox 360 also. Used the hell out of it too. I got a bunch or movies for free when they were pushing HD-DVD. Picked up a bunch more on clearance when the discontinued it. I do have a PS3 which has blu-ray but I've only ever used it for games.
I do own several movies in blu-ray but I bought them for $3 to $4 at walmart for the digital copy only. Way cheaper than buying digital copies.
I have trouble keeping up with all the shows I'm watching on streaming services. Tried keeping a spreadsheet but after adding like 200 shows to the list, I gave up.

Also dislike the facial recognition, but like the under screen reader. Upgraded from the pixel 4a to get it. Even after owning it for a long time, the natural way I hold the phone never put my finger near the reader and it was annoying to find every time. I get much fewer rejected scans with the on screen one on the 6a.

My scenario exactly. I adore my base S22 (after a lot of Samsung de-bloating to make it act like a Pixel) for these reasons.
I'd love to get back into a Pixel device but until they can give me a triple camera setup in something within the 6.0-6.3" range I'll continue buying the base Galaxy (or hope something like the ZenPhone 9 gets refined with a third camera and wireless charging for its next generation).

Even the team who made it don't have the same knowledge individually, they are a group of smart people, each have specific expertise in lasers, some in electronic, some in software , some in optics,

That’s fine I’ll just buy androids that actually have the fingerprint scanner, it was a step backwards in the wrong direction when so many companies decided to move from fingerprints into facial recognition because they wanted those analytics when in reality the most streamlined form of unlocking my phone was the one where I literally just placed my finger on my phone in the right area while it was still coming out of my pocket, and by the time I had it in front of my face it was unlocked. The absurdity of forcing facial recognition down everybody’s throats has always annoyed me since I owned the pixel one and was delighted by that feature.

I use this wallet case and find the grip for your finger on the back to be incredibly useful. Picked up a MagSafe case from Mous so that it's compatible with the Pixel 7 Pro.

I've come to terms with the fact that having the latest phone means virtually nothing like what it used to.
I'm definitely not spending $1000+ for one.

The S22 was only $300 via Google Fi (with the only conditions being that you activate it within 30 days and keep it active for 2 months). That was cheaper than they were offering the Pixel 7a (though I bought my wife the 7a not via Fi and I think it was the same price) and half the price I would have paid for the 7 Pro.
But regardless, it wad more that I just wanted a small form factor phone with some sort of telephoto. I have a mirrorless camera with a variety of lenses. I rarely use it unless I am doing something specifically to take pictures and need the really long telephoto. Most of my photos are when I'm hiking or mountain biking and it is just so much more convenient to be able to take good pictures without carrying more gear (especially when biking). I live in a big open landscape and the wide angle main lens of most smartphones makes the background seem so small and so far from a nearer subject. Backing up and using a mild telephoto creates a lot more compression of space and comes a lot closer to capturing the feel of being in those landscapes.

I only download full ISOs so that I can convert the entire disc down to a BD-25 to then burn to a blank BD-R and watch in my player. The extras are really worth it. Especially, for the old movies that you’ve watched a million times but have never seen the deleted scenes.
