That's hilarious. The first time I heard that phrase was from a neighbor who is a mechanic. I can do the basics and I love cars, but I'm by no means an expert.

Funny you said ride it until the wheels fall off. My mechanic said that as much as he likes taking my money, he told me to stop repairing it and just drive it until the wheels fall off. That was over 20k miles ago. Trust me, I've been trying. I still get 28-32mpg. As for the clutch, yeah it can be easily replaced which I will most like do.

I only noticed it because I just got gas and reset the trip odometer. Definitely was not premeditated.

That's beautiful and describes my car. The clutch is still good but probably will fail in about 10-15k miles. The front drive tire needs to be replaced and does hydroplane. It currently needs an oil change. LOL
