yeah --> i rolled up the hamburger in a ball, threw it in pan, and smashed it down with a spatula. Clearly it didn't flatten out that much.

Not sure why you're being downvoted. I go to Granger & Co semi regularly for breakfast and they call them Ricotta hotcakes I think, not flapjack
Edit: Apparently some regions of the US call them flapjacks

So I know sweet shag all about food, so can I ask why is this a flapjack when it looks like a pancake? I thought flapjacks were baked, oaty bars.
