To be honest, this is not a particularly useful visualization.

Nice. And, when doing US state level data viz, consider using a shortcut like plotly_express instead of a true GIS -- allows inclusion of Alaska and Hawaii, and uses a nice conical projection instead of Mercator or unprojected cylindrical. https://link.medium.com/8C9QYeO96xb

Also size of bank matters. Lots of tiny banks in GA failing is different than one big one somewhere else

I feel ok today. The Nerlynx side effects are my current challenge, but I’m hopeful my doctor can get me the recommended prescriptions tomorrow to help relieve some of that!

I had Herceptin in my TCHP chemo cocktail. MegBundy most likely achieved pCR (pathologic complete response), which means her chemo completely killed her cancer.
When a triple positive patient gets pCR, she gets Herceptin infusions (or shots).
When a triple positive patient doesn’t achieve pCR, the prognosis isn’t as rosy, so they throw stronger drugs at it, including Kadcyla, Nerlynx, Zometa, and whatever other new treatments they can concoct (new treatments are coming out almost every year).

That makes sense. I make about 80. And I do feel like if I made an extra 200-300 dollars bi weekly it would make a big difference for me in terms of financial security.

The $75k figure is from a 2010 study, which would be around $100k this year (the time of the new paper).

They are on my github but felt strange to include on this post because alaska specifically is huge, so it took over 50% of the graph and they have 0 failures.

It’s a bastion of the wealthy. But also has some poor folks to service the masters. I assume the high incomes skew the data in this case.

Feels like this data is pointless without normalizing for the number of banks that have opened or existed in each state

It’s funny that the 1 million population increase per year is similar to the number of illegals that breach the border every year. Shut the border … fix the real estate market !

I have had to enter sales tax by county data related to these states before. I thought the exact same thing every month.

Well when they divided it up and got around to counting it turns out they had created 159 counties.
That’s not even the craziest state. KY has more counties per square mile than any other state.

Could you change this to failure rate? This would probably provide some more interesting results.
Also, total lost value from those failures would be interesting to see.
For example, There might just be a tone of banks on Florida, or some really big failures cali which just isn’t well highlighted
