Why is political data so much more beautiful than any other data? I especially marvel at the beauty of a bar chart and literally anything political contained within said Excel bar chart . /s

Data point for DC likely has very high leverage. How would the linear parameters and R squared values look if you exclude DC? What would that imply?

What an interesting looking graph. I have never seen anything like it. It does not appear to be highly intuitive. Certainly, creative though!

well proximity to another border could be seen as a bad thing as it's easy for an invading army to just get to it

Florida also has a lot of retirees. That means that their cash may be coming from investments rather than earnings. However, being of low income does not mean being poor by any means.

Some of it is, but it’s really a hodgepodge. I’m in marketing tech, there’s some insurance, some food, Groupon, Uptake, consultants, and Fortune 500 companies.
None of it is either bleeding edge or hypergrowth territory, which may or may not be what the new college grads are looking for.

The Metropolitan Statistical Areas listed on the chart are the ones I could match up Median Home Prices from the National Association of Realtors and Per Capita Income from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis to calculate a ratio from.

Thanks for this. Of course the worst is california and hawaii but interesting florida has areas that are good and bad depending on the city.

People need to upvote the source to have it appear on top. Alternatively, I suppose you could sort the oldest ones to the top.

So red is the observed difference and blue the observed difference after it has been adjusted?
Is linear regression the right analysis?
How did you determine which adjustment factors to use and the weight to assign to them?

That's the funny part. Over half of the Government of Japan's debt is owned by the Bank of Japan. It's like being in debt to yourself.
They're ridiculously good at managing money. So good that in fact, if you investigate it closely it is the other countries that are in debt to them.
Also many countries in Europe, including almost every country in Southern Europe and Scandinavian countries like Finland have lower fertility rates than Japan
