Wouldn't the real data be generation at a single turbine related to wind speed? Energy generated by wind throughout an entire country is kind of useless information without the context of what went into creating that source and what it takes to maintain it.

Hey, I never said it was a good thing that they produced enough cheese to give god an obesity problem, just that they produce an insane amount of cheese. Frankly I think quality wise the West coast beats them hands down.

> "both sides are the same".
This is a very weak take.
If you're offered the choice of drinking poison or having your toenails ripped out, those options are absolutely not the same. But that doesn't mean that we should all line up in pro-toenail-ripping and pro-poison camps and start defending our tribalistic in-groups.
Both of those are terrible options even if they have radical and substantial differences, and we might even describe one as objectively "better" than that other. The fact that there are a myriad of other options is also important information.
Here in the US, political parties are locked down by the voting system we use. There is a substantial effort to move away from that voting system, which has seen major successes over the past 10-20 years, and continues to do so. Please support /r/EndFPTP and related communities in moving forward, rather than just pushing false dichotomies.

State
a nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one government.
"Germany, Italy, and other European states"
State was more commonly used in place of country in the past hence the reason it was used with the formation of the USA. Many countries in the North American continent teamed up and formed a union to protect against Europeans, now this union had grown and a lot of the uniqueness has left but each state is still it's own and has it's own constitution that governs it. The current EU is similar to the early USA and over time will likely become more homogenous.
Edit: The USA still currently uses the word state in place of country in lots of its news broadcasts.

I'd like to explain why I am only taking the wind speed in Hamburg. Based on my graph, I believe it is reasonable for someone in Hamburg to argue that if it is not windy there at a given time, then it is very unlikely that Germany as a whole is generating much in the way of electricity from Wind Power. However, if I average out the wind in Germany to produce this graph, then no such claim can be made. Instead it can be argued that if it's calm in Hamburg it is still very likely that it is windy in many other parts of Germany, resulting in lots of Wind Power anyway. Furthermore, if I produce the above graph for Bremen, I get a very similar correlation. So a person in Bremen can make a similar claim as that mentioned above for Hamburg. With regard to Berlin, the correlation is still clear, but not a tight as above.

Just because you stop doing something, doesn't mean the reverse starts happening.

Then let's just list the EU... each state is a different country. The laws, food, culture, architecture even holidays change from state to state.
