It can be even more ridiculous than that, sometimes. A friend of mine started a food-related business that required him to install stainless steel plumbing in his rented commercial space. Fair enough. But he then discovered that tenancy regulations prevented the landlord from "upgrading" only one unit. So, my friend had to pay to to have stainless steel plumbing installed in all the units (a six-figure expense) even though none of the other businesses required or even wanted it.

There's actually a space for it. I was out of town on a job and a guy orders McD delivered and it was a lady and her friend talking with a kid in the back seat. I'm sure it's a godsend for new parents, not too many jobs let you bring your kid. I've done it for side money because where I live, most of it is done by cyclists and I like to bike anyway. Feel a little guilty though because I know others might really need the money more than me. It's really rough though for people that depend on it for their income 100% it is nice to be completely independent and not have to deal with any kind of boss or supervisor.

Grouped within Irish. There's about 40 thousand languages and dialects not represented and that's just the extant ones. Relationship between Scottish and Irish is comparable to somewhat late-ish latin and arbitrary early Romance language. Distinction can, and has been made, but it isn't useful in every situation.

My favourite car to drive was my very first car, my 1999 BMW 740i Sport.

It was fast, smooth, and luxurious and very high tech for its age. Even compared to todays cars. And it’s cabin was less than 65dB at highway speeds, it was awesome

My favourites are BMW and Honda! They’re the only cars I’ve ever owned and probably ever will.

The most fun to drive from my list I’d say is the 8th generation Honda Civic Si. I’ve owned two and driven four. 6-Speed manual, limited slip differential and an 8,300RPM redline is a hoot!

Bro, no one is going to leave cash on their doorstep. Those drivers don't expect tips, app drivers do.

That goes to the platform (technology, coders, software engineers, maintenance, profit) almost none to the delivery guy.

Honestly, I'd rather they just add all that to the one fee and they pay their drivers something fair, same with restaurants and servers but until then, if I'm going to opt into the luxury of someone bringing my food, I'm not going to be cheap, selfish prick about it.

That’s just their income tax expense. The actual income tax they pay might be much larger or much smaller than this

Most large corps have low rates mainly from R&D credits and stock compensation. I’d assume Capital one doesn’t have much of those, or they could just have a large reconciling item that raises their rate

Cash?

And you've already paid the delivery platform for the delivery. Look at the checkout next time, you'll see a delivery fee already added.
