If I'm not mistaken, those drivers are fully salaried and have benefits.
The food delivery apps really rip everyone off. They charge small businesses astronomical fees over 20%, often make items more expensive on their end and charge customers a ton.

Not yet. Prices here are still at a historic high point, and next year there are tax reforms coming that WILL increase taxes on most apartments and houses in attractive areas

How else would the driver get an order? Start calling up restaurants and asking if they need a driver? Well, most restaurants only deliver through the apps now since it’s cheaper than paying an employee. The gig economy changed the game completely and relies on cheap unscheduled labor. The “perks” are supposed to be: Be your own boss, pick your own hours, work only as much as you want. In reality, they need to work 60+ hour weeks to survive or have another job that pays more.

Curious as tipping delivery like this isn't a thing where I'm from - why not just tip a flat rate? What is the reason for giving less/more to the deliverer based off the price of the order? You're merely tipping for the travel and time, no?

Pretty much, on the other hand companies don’t update their job postings. More than likely 20% of the job postings that are on indeed or Google or elsewhere just stagnant job postings. Basic advertisements a bot replies to the candidate. People applying to jobs that someone already has been hired for job.
Also some companies pay all year long to just have their job ads up for display. The job postings are just advertisements. Companies don’t care if 10,000 people applied to, they just see is as 10,000 advertisements hits. They ghosted or had a bot reply 10,000 times. More than likely hired the one candidate out of 10,000 candidates a year or so ago. 10,000 resumes on file sorta speak.

Yeah, it’s not showing how they are making money but how they are spending money. One assumes that they make it from subscriptions but the data does not show it.

OP, I can’t get past your misplaced commas. Is the UK amount 125 thousand, eight hundred thirty four? That’s 125,834, not 1,25,834.

Which needs to increase Is the property tax for owning multiple properties, but I'm adraid it would be at this point too late anyway as it will be pushed in big part in already owned properties for rent And without much alternative people Will pay it. Only thing that could imo work would be tax expenses you could write off if you would rent a house for some average rent Price in the Area which would be set up by the municipality.

Well.. that’s just a scam lol I live in Europe.. here you have usually a delivery fee (around $1 or $2 but often this is waived if the order is big enough ) and sometimes a service fee of a few dollars.. but no tip is expected

Correct, and since an overwhelming majority of the voter base owns property (~80 % IIRC), property taxes will not increase.

The more you order, the more it weighs, presumably. Same can be said of dine-in restaurants. Whether you order caviar or fries, the server has to do the same amount of work.
