I wonder what it tells us about a company when it spends more on marketing than on making the product itself.

Cost of revenue contains costs that are directly needed to produce and distribute the product or service. For software companies, this contains for example server costs.
For an auto company that would contain the bill of material for the cars and the salaries of the manufacturing workers (but not the salaries of R&D engineers and management as they are not directly needed to produce the cars).

Do you tip your fedex/prime/ups guy or gal?
edit: remove UPS because their drivers are unionised and salaried.

What’s the cost of revenue? That’s new to me.

330+ million people. Even more guns. Good score imo

Wow, I had never heard of a fiscal year ending on 31st January, thanks for clarifying

It's their fiscal year 2023 which ended on January 31 2023.
Confusing.. companies should just stick with January 1 to December 30 fiscal years if you ask me.

It's a visualization of the income statement, not the cash flow statement.

In absence of racial differences, the probability of fatal police encounters would be the same across racial groups. It is not. Who knew a subreddit devoted to data would be filled with people who immediately throw up ridiculous canards when confronted with "America is shitty to non-whites."

You’re wrong lol.
It was the name of a valley in the Aztec empire and New Mexico had the name long before Mexico did.
While there were a number of pre-Colombian civilizations that built cities there, the city in the valley that everyone (well… everyone who is educated) has heard of was called Tenochititlan.
A simple google search could have stopped you from making a fool of yourself lol 😂😂😂

Mexico was the name of the capital of the Mexica empire. Their former possessions then became the Kingdom of Mexico under the viceroy until the 19th century. Please stop lying.

Valley of Mexico was so named because of the City State of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. In the colonial period former Aztec empire lands became the Kingdom of Mexico which fell under the Viceroy. It's poor history to say that Mexico is an invention of the 19th century or that New Mexico is older than Mexico.

That's not wrong, only different. There are several countries where you can make a living as a courier without tip, so context matters a lot.
Also if a business cannot afford paying proper wages to its employees then it shouldn't be in business in the first place. It is sickening that people working in hospitality have to rely on the goodwill of customers to survive.

For most of Canada it is.
Hydro Quebec Hydro One Toronto Hydro BC Hydro
These make up the majority so for most Canadians it is indeed hydro.

A couple of points:
That line item just says taxes, so more than just federal income tax. Could include payroll taxes, local taxes, foreign taxes. It also can include past year accruals.
One can't tell what they paid in federal income taxes, or what percentage, without seeing their 1120 tax return, which is not public.
I assume this graphic represents what is on their 10k SEC filing. This would be done with accounting standards such as GAAP. The IRS has their own accounting standards for tax purposes, which are different than GAAP. Their 1120 tax return may not reflect the same numbers as shown here.
