Barely legible names and tough to really compare. There’s probably just too much here to be able to show we’ll in a jpeg.

That's measuring the proportion of households that are owner-occupied, not the proportion of people that own their own home.
If a 30-year old still lives with his parents, he's not even included in the data-- he's part of a single household with his parents. Multi-generational living arrangements have increased substantially over the decades...
It's a pretty hard row to hoe to deny that housing costs have outstripped income gains for the last xx years. On a nationwide basis, it's indisputable.

The groupings are horrible. Belarus amd Russia are grouped in with EU countries such as Czeck Republic, while Turkey is in WE. This is just gerrymandering for lack of a better word. As a minimum, EU and Asia Pac should have own regions as these are more homogenous.

Weighting, it's a country average not population adjusted. China weighs as much as Singapore. So 1.4 billion oppressed Chinese count as much as a tiny island-state, this is not reflecting the region as a whole. Similarly in Latam and Europe, the smaller countries pull up the average, Luxembourg evens out the democratic disaster that is Russia.

Yup, except the "real target" was quite probably a perfectly legal pico-baloon hobby project from the Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade that had already circumnavigated the planet a number of times.
So sure, let's have the military do exercises & shoot up private property.

It's just taxpayers' money, so no real money at all. All the important people don't pay any taxes anyway.

I live by an air force base. They are constantly training so instead of spending the money on training that day they had a real mission.

Read the post… this is about the balloon taken down over Lake Huron, not the Chinese spy balloon taken down off the Carolina coast.

How does one measure democratic-ness or republican-ness as an actual metric used by everyone?…

You're confused with the balloon the F22 shot down. The balloon shot down by the F16 was more akin to a larger party balloon

Also, the whole operation, including the miss costs about the same as a single cruise missile. No coincidence there.

You will think we can have healthcare and social security if it wasn't for the billions in the military. One helicopter and a gunner could have done the job for cheaper. Who is running the military? Because they are burning my tax money!

And even the firing of an actual sidewinder is probably worth it to get operational data. I’m sure they have to do some of those from time to time to make sure the systems are working.

so you’d suggest doing it per capita? that could be a good idea
