Is this graph showing true home ownership or mortgage ownership?

These aren’t exactly swing states anymore.

Hence the migration pattern the last couple years with people leaving the cities.
Cities are too expensive regardless of race.

From what I understand it’s pretty hard to pin down all of Latin America into a group like that. Since there is so much diversity in said group. Argentinian vs Mexican for example.

I agree, definitely need to control for the overall nationwide crime spike. On top of that this chart seems to show some increasing trend as it is though it’s hard to tell with the time axis being relatively short compared to the size of the increase in murders.

That’s an overly simplistic perspective. Crime spiked in most jurisdictions regardless of whether the government changed hands. I don’t know definitively if there is statistical evidence politics had some effect but distilling the crime spike to a single factor like this simply inaccurate.

Yeah I live in rural MN. My husband and I are in our mid-30s, and we've owned a home since our mid-20s. 5 bed, 3 bath house with a big yard. Our mortgage is less than 900 a month. I understand you can't rent an apartment for that in a big city...which is why we don't live there?

I'm a Texan homeowner. I have a modest 1600 sqft home built in the 80s. I pay about $6300/year in property taxes. My effective property tax rate is 2.47%, which is considered low.
Sources online will tell you that the state average is between 1.6-1.8%, but that is because the "agricultural exemption" is used by very wealthy landowners to reduce their tax burden.
Those over 65 can "lock" their tax rate (and qualify for additional exemptions), so even if the property value doubles they don't pay one extra cent in tax --- shifting that tax burden to the younger generation, of course.
Californians pay less in taxes than Texans -- unless you're in the top 1% of wage earners, then you pay a LOT less in Texas. Source: link

I believe the word you’re looking for is “secession” not “succession.”

Seriously Reddit is probably the most depressing cesspool on earth but here I am - an addict for over a decade.

a steady diet of reddit doom and gloom will warp your prespective.
Every third post on here is about someone's depression, mental health issue, self diagnosed physical ailment, being a moderator, unwillingness to hold a job, etc... its no wonder that this segment of the population might not be out there buying houses.

So why clump together everything that is not asian or african? And have separate categories for those? 🤷♂️

I hope it worked! In my experience the whole house sleeps better once the smallest family member gets past 1 year!

The label "invaded by Russia" implies that Russians held the pink areas at some time in the past. Maybe "currently held by Russia" if that's what you meant.

It's not even that. It's based on language. And Latino is based on culture. Brazilians are Latino but not Hispanic.
Mestizo would be the name of the actual biological racial category.

You're asking why an arbitrary definition is arbitrary in a certain way and not another? Ask the OMB.
