That's because the movies in the "he" section were basically all made with 8 year old boys in mind. Take it as a good thing that your taste doesn't completely align with that lol

Also I don’t understand the use of a diverging color scale. I’ve only use diverging scales in chloropleths if there is a logical middle point (eg 0 if my scale includes neg and positive numbers). I guess in this case it makes it easier to distinguish the value of each county.

Princess Mononoke is so good that everyone likes it.
Also, Why the Xer pronouns and not just they/them? I don't know anybody that goes by Xer, but I know many people who prefer "they". Just curious.

I guess this is a PCA plot. Most people commenting clearly aren't familiar with the concept and therefore don't understand the plot. It's not the plot's fault, it's a perfectly good plot, and these plots have no meaningful units etc. Maybe a link to the wikipedia article about PCA would have helped those without a scientific background, which is unfortunately most of the world.

That's interesting. Thanks for commenting, guess people these days just have no taste regardless of pronoun choice :)

For people curious about a missing movie, you can see how many users have selected it by going to the page for the movie on the website and looking on the right side above the bar graph of the ratings.
https://letterboxd.com/film/terminator-2-judgment-day/
You'll see here that Terminator 2 has 8.1k "fans", which are people that have chosen it. It's hard to tell how many users overall you'd need to make it onto one of these lists, but the movie with the fewest, The Worst Person in the World (ranked 100 on She), has 11k total fans.

That is because they attended the NCAA tourney instead of the NIT during this era.
jamkoch t1_j96rb9m wrote
Just keep in mind that until the early to late 1960s, the NIT was the premier basketball tourney in the US which lead to a national champion, not the NCAA. Adolph Rupp, who couldn't get anywhere in the NIT created the spectacular of the NCAA and got his early wins by refusing to compete with other Basketball powers.

Ok, i love the idea of this guide, but I don't have any guides for how to read it. Your comment helps, but should the map have a legend explaining colors, size and distance? And are the axis significant?

Don't think so. At least not in the same categories. Can't remember one dish being called "American" here in Germany. Though things like Burgers or Spare Ribs probably are.

I don't believe only one category chose Shrek 2 as their favourite movie.

It seems nobody has said Terminator 2 (or I can't see it). Clearly a flawed dataset unless I am going blind.

The link is for credit scores, but it doesn't vary much from the chronic health issues. I guess we can conclude that if they don't take care of their credit, they don't take care of their health.

So essentially Xe/Ze are dudes in spirit?
(Please translate "dudes" or "in spirit" into whatever gender gets you to not hate me, I'm highlighting the overlap, idc about whatever debate is going on)

I personally prefer they/them or he/they so it's not like I'm completely confused by choosing your own pronouns,,,,,, but xe/ze does just feel kinda pointless to me. "They/them" is perfectly fine and doesn't make you sound like an alien, but idk maybe I'm missing something
