I remember it being nonsensical. I know there was a lot of theories of what was happening but I think the creator (David Firth I think ?) Even said its mostly nonsense

You have done the world a great service with your choice of cat names. We named our cat Miss Tuffsy, from the episode of SpongeBob where Gary runs away and the old lady thinks it's her snail Miss Tuffsy. But now I want a Hubert Cumberdale of my own!
