Reminds me, not the delay part just the whole thing, of that scene from "Smile" where the girl walks up to the car and just stands there for a second with her head and neck out of view, and then suddenly her head just swings downward upside down in an utterly unnatural fashion with that smile on her face. Epic sequence.
