A metaphor for the dangers of escapism. Opiate drugs are the most literal comparison. The nirvana is just an illusion within the high, and the reality is that you're being devoured by a demonic monster. We all must be content with our day to day lives, and realize life can never be pleasurable at all times. Escapism removes us from life, however hypnotic and pleasurable it may be.

If you ever read the Hobbit book, undoubtedly the greatest fantasy writer of all time wasn't the best illustrator. It's about the details that make it count! I love this drawing. Keep it up, friend!

Great work op. My honest advice is to stop using the hard lines and instead use cross hatching to imply lines. Once you do that your drawings will pop a little more.
