It's pretty hard to compete with a good time in reality with friends but on my own escapism looks a lot more attractive. Just be mindful of how much time you spend at the computer screen, take regular breaks and you will be fine.

You don't suck. There's actually a strong hint at talent in there imho. Something about the way you drew the hand, nose and certain elements like the ears. Also, traces of shading.
