From the details you’ve listed, it sounds like you’re looking for Ralph’s in Worcester. The Middle East in Cambridge has multiple spaces within the venue and is probably in your size range. But speaking personally as someone in the Boston metal scene, I’d always rather go to a show at O’Briens in Allston than the Middle East, though they definitely have a smaller capacity.

I get that. But there are hotels on 128 too. You don’t see the kind of private plane traffic at most major airports (I think, I know it’s easy to look it up, but let me just go on “feels” for this one. 😂)

What the hell is wrong with the SNAP (food stamps) program? It work well and the federal government administers the program with no cost to MA.

Turning Boston into a some sort of mecca for free food sounds like a great way to invite the sort of problems San Francisco has with its homeless population.

It is more about what you are comfortable with, especially if something breaks and you have to react on the fly. When we were in London there was a tube strike and we had to scramble a bit, luckily a Bobby was able to help us out. Boston is wicked safe so don't really worry about that.

If you don't want to stay right downtown, look at Somerville, Quincy, Cambridge, Malden, Revere. Many of the hotels do a pick up/drop off situation from the local transit stop.

Avoid coming over the 3rd week of April, everything is expensive and full.
