I finally signed up for the monthly T pass (so it renews itself every month instead of my having to buy at kiosk) and am now gearing up for being super anxious about losing the card for the rest of my life... I have registered it on the T site, but I am a human who loses charlie cards constantly so I'm hoping you savvy people have some creative & efficient methods.

SO

T-takers, how do you stash your T passes so they're a) easy to pull out and tap and b) don't get lost?

Definitely. He'd be making a little less than me since he'd be going back to college---so either financial aid stipend or a part-time job---but we would be double-income.

The thread is a bit of a train-wreck but it confirmed some of my thoughts that I'll probably get by being satisfied with less---some people want a lot of extra disposable income but for me who doesn't drink or go out and prefers the free things the city has to offer (parks, museums, etc.) I think I'll be alright at least for a couple of years or until I go to grad school

Where, in the post I replied to, did you say anything about any owner occupied buildings other than 2 unit buildings? You literally only talk about exactly 2 units. I was just saying the part you left unsaid. And I certainly wasn't trying to correct you.

But thanks for taking the opportunity to be an asshole to someone. Making the internet better one comment at a time...

No, I’m not talking about squatters I’m talking about people who seem like they’re legitimate tenants. And then they find a small defect in the apartments, they call inspectional services, they withhold rents. They make life miserable for the landlord. Think Pacific Heights, not that extreme but you get the general idea.

Once the landlord gets rid of them, they just move onto the next property.

The really sad part is that my roommate and I are headed to the Tampa Bay area for good on on 4/3 (she's got family there), and we can't find anywhere two middle-aged min-wage workers can afford either. We're crashing someone's living room until we can. I wonder how long we can hold out...
