Lambert's butcher counter has good prices.
Roxy's in Quincy is lesser expensive.
Costco is dope if you have a vacuum sealer and a freezer.
You can go big and buy a half cow. Then you definitely need a freezer.

Go for it just stay safe.
One awesome thing about going alone is you can just go in the single-line all the time and skip a lot of the lines.

Power went out at Harvard this morning and took 15 mins for a train to show. The emergency lighting was pretty atmospheric though.

I used to always ski alone. Ski what you want, singles lines, and more runs than when you ski with others.

It's the best. Don't have to worry about other people's gear breaking, skill level, or getting too drunk/calling it quits.
Just bring a whistle in case you end up of the side somewhere.

Nobody gives a shit what anyone else is doing in public ever, as long as you've got pants on.

it's not the benches ought to be designed to lay down, it's that this is a form of "hostile design" specifically intended to deter it and deprive unhoused folks of simple comforts. benches were fine for hundreds of years with the normal bench design, it's not a coincidence that you see different ones popping up over the last couple of decades disguised as things like "benches made for the elderly!" -- from OPs comments it's clear that they have a lot of hostility and resentment toward unhoused people and it's hard to believe that wasn't behind why they decided to take the effort and time out of their day to post this.

Southwest Corridor Park - it goes from Back Bay to Forest Hills. You cover a lot of beautiful areas in the city and there are little neighborhood markets and restaurants near-ish to the route if you need to stop.

Yeah, traffic was light but the 66 just didn't send inbound buses from about 6:30-7:30am which was shitty. I already walk an extra 0.5 miles to a stop the bus will always stop at because the bus tends to skip the stop closest to where I live, even if there are people there lol.

Reply to comment by Professional-Dork26 in Visiting in late March. Will there be snow? Should I get a rental car? by Professional-Dork26
If you have any flexibility in your plans, as a history nerd it might make sense to delay your trip a few weeks to the Patriots Day weekend instead (April 15-17). That's when the "big grass field and a few statues" in Lexington/Concord will be a lot more interesting since they have battle reenactments and other events to commemorate the anniversary of the battle itself.
Not sure how committed your plans are, but given that it's only three weeks after your planned trip and you're coming here for the history, it might be worth thinking about if you can do it.

It was, but I'm not sure it's permanent. They published the numbers recently (I wish I could remember where I saw them) and as I recall it cost something like $300K to run and didn't get good ridership.

I didn’t remember that so I just googled it (because salacious!) and the top hit was the Mass GOP site. And it’s a claim brought by a group of first responders opposed to Covid measures. Not any troopers involved with Healey themselves.
I am ambivalent on Healey but seems suspect to me.

Yeah there are definitely some smaller areas that run red. Not by a lot, but it happens. Like the town I live in and some surrounding ones in central MA. Probably should have said towns instead of counties?
