lmao. How was that e-scooter able to go that fast? Seems like the battery would die in 5 min.

Hmm, thanks, I'll look into that. The home inspector raved about the foam insulation in the attic, but it could be something else or not enough.
Our gas bill comparison to similar homes in the area does always have us at the very low end of usage, at least.

What field did you end up going into? Asking because I’m in the same situation as you except I don’t have a house 😬.

There is a bus called EZ Ride that goes from North Station to Kendall and Cambridgeport. If you don’t get it paid by your employer it’s only $1.

Where are all the, "Bro, literally no one is spiking any drugs with fentanyl...thats absurd, why would they just give away fentanyl like that?!" folks now?

Are you a lawyer? Cause you’re wrong. I litigate in housing court in MA all the time and it’s super tenant friendly….

If you feel like elaborating I’m interested to know in what other ways it’s less tenant friendly than the rest of New England!

Y'all are looking at this wrong.
Landlord is using reverse psychology. He wants folks with money (lawyers) and folks whose parents have money (law students).
Landlord wants to be able to jack the rent without risk of losing his tenants.

Lawyer here, there are tenants out there, who know more about tenant landlord laws and I do. In fact, there are professional tenants who game the system to the point where they never pay rent.

Not the same thing. Teachers will still have to work a day of the year regardless. It's just tacked onto June, instead, where students will be expected to show up anyway. Doesn't work like that in medicine.

Reply to Visiting in late March. Will there be snow? Should I get a rental car? by Professional-Dork26
You need a a good water proof shoe and layers. March can be our greyest and wet month but could randomly be 70! Tbh if you’re not a walker start getting your steps in because you really can’t drive the freedom trail. Car rental and parking are very expensive so Uber will be a better option for anything non walkable

Exactly. I’ve had landlords and brokers tell me the practice thing verbatim

So check this out: that’s actually not true. I had always thought it was, too. It turns out that you can’t discriminate against lawful sources of income. If people can’t prove their income (i.e. servers, bartenders) then that’s a different matter.

Right again. The stereotype is law students like to use the landlord/tenant relationship as practice.

Guess they don’t like lawyers. If I didn’t like lawyers that much, I’d rent to them exclusively, then gouge the hell out of them for everything.

I would plan to take the T unless you are ok paying $25+ for parking garages. It’s walkable for sure, but especially with rain you’ll want to have a backup plan. I lose ~5 years of my life every time I drive in Boston and wouldn’t recommend unless necessary

You know, it’s fascinating to think of that period as just 100-year-old real estate developers. I associate “developer” as a modern, faceless, capitalist entity with no interest other than money. 100 years ago, they were doing the same! I’d argue with a lot more intent, neighborhoods were built with cohesive intent and aesthetics, but the concept is the same. Everything was just farms or pasture, and it all had to be sold to a developer at some point.
