I’m confused who these boomers think they’re going to sell to?

Look at the demographics, there is no bigger generation. There will never be another grey wave. Those many who own assets are currently asset rich. Soon they will be selling those assets for cash to the few. All in order to get healthcare and retirement care. They will be selling to those who are deep in debt and who want them dead.

I’m hoping for a huge bust. But frankly speaking I’ve given up. Best case scenario is to bet on options and plan an arbitrage situation where I join a wave of Americans gentrifying another country like Mexico or Portugal.

Never met a landlord who actually cared. I haven’t rented in a while, so maybe they’ve gotten stricter about these things, but I remember being in college hearing that our application was denied because the property was not available to students. Super bogus, like at least we’re not going to color all over the walls with crayons and tear up the yard.

+1 for Portland! So incredibly easy — you just go to north station, park yourself on the air conditioned Amtrak, and next thing you know you’re in Portland. Getting from the Portland amtrak to downtown/Commercial St is a bit of a pain (I walked there and back, and my legs dearly paid for it), but by and large it’s a simple trip and there’s lots of fun stuff/vibes in the summer.

Let that rage burn with the heat of a million suns. Then go take that heat and cook up some fresh asphalt and start filling in some potholes, since you’ve got nothing better to do sitting in traffic.
