I assume you mean on a J1 visa?

A lot of Irish kids do it but they’re often bunking up 3 to a room in shithole apartments (some girls I worked with one summer in college were sleeping 3 to a bed).

You can do it and have fun… but just understand that housing here is on par with London prices, and summer employment will likely be working at a moving company, caddying, waiting tables, etc, none of which is going to amass you a fortune.

And you could probably have an equally fun American experience in a different, less expensive city (Chicago perhaps?). I would just weigh your options carefully and be realistic about what you can afford.

They're charging that much because it has to be configured perfectly in order to be accepted. Meaning your head has to be an exact percentage of the picture once printed, and it has to be cut perfectly. It's actually harder for most places to print a photo that they didn't take. You can do it yourself at photo kiosks at CVS, but you should make a couple variations.

Oh boy, way to chop those data BRIC. 4 more shootings in less than two months is statistical noise.

"Not attending peace walks and vigils" is a different criticism, but also a totally illegitimate one? And you know it is, primarily because she gets just as much criticism for going to too many public events and marches and not "working for the people" or whatnot.

Wu critics don't tend to be terribly consistent, but they're pretty damned loud.

When I worked in restaurants I had a lot of Irish coworkers who were apparently directed to certain restaurants by the Irish Embassy here. They might be a good resource, especially when it comes to getting a work visa.

well i mean not collecting fares would mean 450 million bigger hole? Also implementing this will improve service by reducing dwell times and overall make transit more attractive

the alternative of course is to do this, then throw it out right away by passing a 1% sales tax increase for the MBTA, because the contracted money is spent already, it's not like we'll get it back
