Chicago is a hellhole of violence that has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. why don’t you compare it to another city? How about Nashville or Charlotte or Charleston where the 2nd amendment is alive and well.

Sounds like you've been listening to conservatives lying to other conservatives about what progressives are like.

That wasn’t disagreement. That was being an ass. For some reason, the word “troll” is preferred.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this Ad is probably designed to entertain/amuse people from the 49 other states & from a financial perspective they probably have zero reason to care how people from Boston respond to it.

There are multiple busses that go to the plaza and then to the T station (Quincy center and Braintree)

There’s an elementary school right behind where they want to put these. And the school system is already strained (and teachers working without a contract!)

Sick days. Weather events. Service outages. Vacation days. Etc etc. And to your point, it isn't even all that close with a reduced work schedule anyway. It would at least make more sense if it was like the NYC subway and you only paid X times in a given time period.

A pillar of her mayoral campaign was “Free MBTA Fares” as a means of social and economic equity.
So far she’s:
-
Spent $8M in Federal COVID relief funds to make three bus routes free for two years.
-
Is now trying to make the a commuter rail stop cheaper for its affluent riders.
Maybe it’s not hilarious but it’s pretty funny.

A shuttle can jump on the highway and be at Quincy Adams station in a few minutes, even with rush hour traffic.

In person sports betting just opened today so i’m sure a lot of folks are interested. Plus there are a lot of local sports celebrities there for the launch so i’m sure that even folks who aren’t betting might be interested in going just to get a glimpse of them.

I’d imagine the residents probably don’t want it to be a rapid transit town, usually how these expensive, insulated towns operate

There are "interzone" fares if you get on after a terminus station.

I mean it’s also just entertainment, same way you pay for any other entertainment. Shut going to a sporting event with 1 other person and grabbing some food and drinks runs you easily around 150-200 bucks nowadays, no harm in someone putting 20 bucks on games here and there for entertainment value. Would like to see advertising restricted though, same as booze/cigarettes.
