That Concord stop would change my life.

You are probably in a room that was added to the pipes or at the end of the exchange so all the heat is gone by the time it gets to you.
The plastice over windows technique will keep the wind out, but it can get frustrating. You might also get in trouble when you take it off since the tape often rips off paint.
Another option is to get fire resistant foam and put it inside the window. Get it just a little larger and then shove it in. That will help a lot with both the cold and noise.
Space heaters can be dangerous, use up a lot of electricty, and are often noisy. Maybe buy an electric heated blanket instead or hot water bottle for your bed. Good luck!

The current forecast has just a few hours on Thursday that will be above freezing. Anyway, I won't be out on the lagoon Saturday morning.
It was frozen over once already this season. And it has been cool enough that the ground won't keep the water warm for as long.

I’ve also walked two Amazon packages that were mis-delivered to my house to the correct address this year.

Amazon routinely delivers my packages to a neighbor across the street. Every single month, it happens at least once. I’ve actually watched them do it while I was tracking my package. Bonus points: get to know your neighbors.

Check your library. I'm out in the suburbs but our town library has a media lab that you can do all sorts of digitization. Scan old photos, convert old videos, etc.

Love the yellow line but feels like it should go through Forrest Hills.

Obviously you dig underground and put people there. That way the forest stays on top and the people have somewhere to live. If you can make giant mines you can make housing underground...

Interesting fact: Boston beer company AKA Sam Adams treats the water at it's breweries elsewhere in the country to match the makeup of Boston Tap water

Just a warning that space heaters are energy hogs as will cause a spike in the power bill. If OP pays electric, that could be a problem. If landlord pays the electric bill, it might get their attention.

If you’re not taking people’s homes and just building big on empty lots and when houses are sold people might not be happy but at the end of the day if they get to complain idk how much they care

Just to be clear I do think NIMBYs are bad and we should be building a lot more housing - I was just pointing out that the NIMBY response shouldn’t be surprising because people are just following their own incentives

I currently live in canton, and if he’s following the commuter rail alignment for the orange line out of forest hills, then north canton doesn’t need to exist. I take the train every day, and will in about an hour. There is nothing of value between RTE 128 and Canton Junction. It’s houses for less than a mile and then a series of separate industrial parks interspaced by small plots of woods.

Not giving people who have owned for a long time in a community a choice, and doing so across the board, is a fast track to local government hell for the legislature

Google ocean currents and you’ll see that it’s more efficient to travel east along the Gulf Stream to the Mediterranean than it is to travel back south to the Panama Canal.

That’s not what the original comment said tho, the majority of people will do it for fun knowing it’s more likely then not you lose money

Really judgmental here. A lot of people bet on games just for fun knowing the odds aren’t in their favor. Betting $10 on a three hour game gives the user much more value/enjoyment rather than the lottery or scratchers which are done in a couple seconds
