People say layering and you hear “wear a sweater under your jacket”

Layering also means a layer under your shirt and a layer under your pants. Your legs are more surface area at more angles than your core. At those temperatures I usually wear long underwear under my jeans or pants and I also usually wear flannel-lined pants or jeans instead of thinner ones.

Also a hat and scarf or balaclava under your jacket hood and collar. This is all layering.

The last bit, some jackets and pants are more windproof than others. I have a Patagonia nano puffy just like everyone else in Boston for regular weather. But on days like this I’ll wear my full ski jacket shell to break the wind better

Logical fallacies occur when someone is presenting an argument. Telling someone to call the police instead of posting on Reddit may imply the existence of a false dilemma in the speaker's mind, but we wouldn’t say that a fallacy is being committed because no argument is being presented.

Landlords don’t have to pay that in fees. Brokers fees are solely propped up by insane rental demand in Boston. Rental markets in almost every other city in America do not suffer them.

I understand math and passing costs to the consumer, I’m arguing that brokers do nothing, charge exorbitant rates for doing nothing, and offer no long term value to renters or landlords.

You’re arguing from a place that brokers provide value and are a necessary part of the equation. They aren’t.

At the higher end of you budget I suggest making a personal shopping appointment at Bloomingdale’s. It’s free and there’s no obligation. I did it when I had a wedding with some odd requirements a few years ago. They ended up helping me get a dress that retailed for $300, but informed me of a sale and convinced me to sign up for a credit card, which brought it down to $180. I paid the credit card off immediately and never used it again. It’s now my go to wedding dress.

My bike was stolen right in front of MBTA security cameras. I’m not even sure if they’ve looked at them. Every time I called to check on my case, I was told they’d contact me if they found anything.

Yes. Well, I haven't seen a $5,000 fee; it's been 4 years since I looked at apartments, I don't know maybe they are going that high now, maybe those are just bigger than my budget. But let's take something in the middle, $3600. If you were a landlord signing a one year lease, and you had to pay that $3600 in fees, how would u do it? You'd add $300 a month to the rent, right? Maybe you'd pay $1200 of it yourself and add $200 a month to the rent. If I rented that apartment from you for 3 years, I'd have paid $7200 extra in rent rather than paying $3600 right to the broker. It's paying for free shipping, people don't want to see that shipping cost, they'd pay more for an item to avoid it.

I thought it was really interesting. I don’t think it makes any sense to label long term relationships sexual harassment. Right up until the end of the relationship, the woman in the affair was hoping that that the relationship would actually deepen. I know workplace harassment is a serious problem but let’s not get hysterical. How many science couples do you know that meet at work? I can think of three sets of married friends who met at work.
