OP asked about a family outing, not a romantic evening

I'd probably just post up in the taproom if possible for a first visit. I like trying the off the wall stuff at breweries, and if I was doing a preorder I feel like I'd be playing it safe and getting pilsners or something haha

Harsher sentences do not reduce crime. This has been shown in multiple studies, and is easily searchable. Here is just one of many studies showing this.
Stricter policing does not reduce crime, and often makes it worse.

The tacos Al pastor are incredible. Americas Test Kitchen used them as the goal for their recipe.

Check out their website for ordering ahead and picking up. For a while they wouldn't let you just show up. Started during early COVID, was still that way not too long ago. It will also let you know the level of financial commitment you're getting yourself into.

I mean harsher sentencing too. If you arrest someone for a minor crime and destroy their life, and then shortly let them out yeah you're going to have more problems.
I'm just saying if you went really draconian and locked up long-term anyone that commits a serious crime you would probably have lower crime rates, at the cost of liberty
>What has reduced crime is building a stronger social safety net so those who find themselves in desperate situations can get support from the state instead of other illegal alternatives
This is true but it doesn't address the people that commit crime for reasons other than addressing their own survival needs, which is most crime.

The Hyatt directly across the street usually has parking. Use Spot Hero - it’s a lifesaver. I haven’t been downtown in so long not sure about restaurants.

Drag/burlesque shows at Crystal Ballroom are another nice option.

Mars can be quite nice. It's the damn Martians though...they make us Massholes look downright civil.

There’s a new queer bar catering to queer women and non-binary folks called Dani’s queer bar which is going to open soon!! Sapphic nights on Instagram puts on fun events almost weekly too. Check them out!

It opened last week. If you can handle scene drama it'll probably be fine.

Yeah now imagine that this business model is successful enough to open lots of locations. That's the level of their beer (personal taste aside, people must like it enough to overcome the inconvenience, right?)

Sapphic Nights are raising money for a new queer bar (just announced last night it’ll be somewhere on Boylston, I think? Don’t quote me) so that’ll be a nice new addition… I believe it’s opening in the next couple of months

Correct. And only the small tavern. Main building is TBD while they do renovations

There’s a lesbian/sapphic bar that should hopefully be opening up this year; I think they announced at a fundraising event last night that it will be on Boylston St. https://instagram.com/danisqueerbarboston?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

I’ve seen ski queen at Whole Foods! Specifically the Ink block location, but it might be elsewhere. I also may have seen it once at formaggio kitchen, but I’m not 100% sure about that one

I actually just looked, and it's not confirmed! The article linked below my comment just used a picture of Piccini, so I perhaps mistakenly just assumed it was him.
Another problem with Boston night life is that the T barely runs past midnight.

It’s only a problem if you were not going to Tip in the first place, in which case the 10% is making sure those workers get paid.
Otherwise they could raise the price and have it all baked in but honestly it only is an annoyance to those who don’t tip which maybe they are okay with not having your business, who knows?
Anyway, I do agree that we should just pay people.
