If you had really heavy enforcement of laws you’d probably decrease the crime rate, the question is whether that’s appropriate in a liberal democracy.

I feel like people are way over stating 10F unless there's horrible horrible wind. That's like... a zipped up winter coat and gloves for me probably over a hoodie, I'm not even positive I would need a hat if I was walking, I tend to over heat quickly & thats what the hoodie is for. Unless you are out for hours or way under dressed (or dangerously drunk) you'll be fine walking to the corner store, to the T, a 9 min wait for the bus.
Like get a $20 pair of thermals and nice wind proof gloves & you'll be fine.

Reply to comment by Neuroticperiscope in Does anyone know of a reasonably priced painter in Boston? We are looking for a painter for our nursery. The best quote we have had so far is $950 for ceiling, walls, baseboards and 2 doors. $950 seems like a lot for a 10x14 room. by lolotaylo
Show me on this doll where the comment hurt you.

well I disagree - what appears safe to a cis het man might not feel safe to a queer woman, what’s safe for a gay man may not feel safe for a NB person. Safety is a feeling not just a fact

I'm anyone else, who knows what safe is and isn't. This isn't a work of art where two people can walk away with five understandings lmao.

I feel like they have commercials where on Tuesdays everything is 1/2 off? Maybe I dreamed that.

Guess someone has been hired but for some reason won’t be announced till March? Not sure why it’s a big secret. See: https://www.nbcboston.com/boston-business-journal/heres-what-business-owners-want-from-bostons-new-late-night-czar/2956586/

On Monday, yesterday's forecast was 30 and 3" of snow. Yesterday it was 50 with no precipitation.
There is no such thing as a 10-day forecast. There are 3-day forecasts, and there are historical averages.

Well that’s exactly it. They seem so far removed from the pulse that they had no idea people weren’t riled up. They really don’t understand.

Currently the cheapest oil is approx $4.25/gal. Electricity from Nat Grid is about .33/KW, water and sewer rates are a little harder to determine but $20/1000 gal.
Many people have seen their electricity, gas, oil double this year. I don't know where those commentators are getting their info, but they seem quite low.

I went to Heroes last night and it was great! Not an explicitly queer night like Campus but the crowd was about half LGBTQ from what I could tell.

I just went to Heroes at the newly opened ManRay in Cambridge and it was very queer. Definitely a growing lesbian scene there.
