Definitely agree. I lived in NYC for 10 years and have spent a lot of time in Houston and Chicago. Funny enough, the best desi food I've ever had is in Kenya =).

Drag shows at Laugh Boston are curated to all LGBTQ and straight crowds. Might be worth a Sunday brunch there, I had a great time going to a show!

All of those signs are distributed by The Party of Socialism and Liberation (logo on bottom)
Definitely don't look into their political views...
Definitely don't discover that they deny the Tiananmen Square massacre and the current Uygur genocide.... and that they support the North Korean regime.... and Mao...

> What we need is a stronger justice system with more strict laws. So many people are out here committing crimes and all they get is a slap on the wrist. Enough is enough.
I suggest you take a look at our incarceration rate per capita and then think about whether or not the answer is "the solution is to put more people in prison".

I have informed my sister that we are staying inside. No trips to the zoo or park!
The next time we meet will be this summer in Florida so it will be incredibly hot, so we'll get to share both temperature extremes together.

Yeah, it was actually in the upper 20s here yesterday morning when I was out hiking. I had on leggings and jeans, then a thin shirt and a thick sweater and a thick hoodie. That is what I plan to wear mostly. Plus, I am naturally insulated through a rigorous schedule of eating too much junk food so there's that too.
I have gloves and a scarf and my hoodie has a, well, a hood, but no boots. Alas.

Decent is definitely the way I'd describe those haha. As I said , the places I mentioned are just so far and beyond have better offerings. Manosalwa I'm definitely sick of tho cuz every Pakistani wedding ive been too in the past 5 years caters from them haha

Even on Saturday afternoon you could tell that BPD was gearing up for something big. They had metal barricades on almost every corner waiting to be deployed, and I saw a couple vans full of cops sitting around on side streets, plus cruisers everywhere. Makes you wonder how much overtime they charged sitting around waiting for something to happen…

There's some decent Pakistani food though. See Dabar and Manosalwa.

I have gotten things there and found them reasonable as well. If you find a frame you like they will mat and do everything else for even more reasonable, I think I had a couple 4x6 photos done in Goodwill frames for like 10-20 dollars each.

Reply to comment by itsonlyastrongbuzz in Does anyone know of a reasonably priced painter in Boston? We are looking for a painter for our nursery. The best quote we have had so far is $950 for ceiling, walls, baseboards and 2 doors. $950 seems like a lot for a 10x14 room. by lolotaylo
Hey good thing you’re here, some people have to wait two whole weeks into their micro 101 class before they learn that. I hear both supply and demand can also be a factor in price does that match your studies as well?

i was a little off put by the signs. this wasn't a race issue, this was a police brutality issue
personally, as a black woman, i think a vigil would have been more appropriate than a protest

When those yuppie Greeshnaks started moving in, bringing their hot zzzzllxxy studios and artisanal free-range latte stores to the neighborhood, it’s not as gritty or coarse as it used to be. Multi family cave prices shot up all over. Real shame.
