I couldn’t get over the fact that Monique just happened to be a writer, she wrote a piece on the right to die AND her father was Harry’s lover?? And he just happened to write all the things he would have told Harry that night? That one was too much for me.

I like the satire of Plum Sykes, the debutante divorcee I think it's called.

Artimus by Andy Weir.
Absolute pile of trash but I read it all in one day without stopping. its like a completely predictable episode of a bad sci fi show. But I can recall what goes on way clearer than I can a book I love like 'Brave New World'

THATS WHAT ITS CALLED oh wow, these books were next to each other on my 5th grade teacher’s bookshelf and I remembered Flatland but couldn’t remember the name of the other one. I guess that’s what I’m doing today. Thank you so much for the unintentional lightbulb moment.

Usually in bed, or lying down somewhere under a blanket. Or, in a comfy chair.

I don't know if they're guilty pleasures but I enjoy some books that I see a lot of people hating on.
The Inheritance Cycle, by Christopher Paolini - LOVED those books and I don't care who says they're bad, I really liked reading them.
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch - loved this one too and only seem to see people saying it's boring.
Ready Player One - same as above. Really liked it and only see people talking about how it's bad or uninteresting.
Probably true guilty pleasure would be the Shopaholic books.

That’s kind of how I interpreted it my head was that pretty much all the characters with the exception of Alyosha are very intense and dramatic. I enjoyed it though cause it made for a super crazy family dynamic.

I read on my side, swapping sides every three or so pages.

Sitting or lying on couch, standing in line waiting for any reason, on the toilet, on my side every night before falling asleep.
I’ve found also that I probably use the smartphone as much as a paper weight to keep book pages open as to mindlessly scroll through.

I’m so hyped! I preordered mine a few weeks ago and am (im)patiently waiting for it to arrive. I wish I had a bookstore nearby :(.

I liked the book. Definitely a sob story towards the end. I loved Harry too.. I can picture that actor who played Julia Roberts best boss friend in My Best Friends Wedding playing him in a movie. His story is pretty sad and he just went along with what Evelyn wanted..

Those were really good points! I think their relationship was definitely toxic LOL and some of the writing was forced. But I couldn’t of out it better, it was a great entertaining emotional read.

It being a movie is a shame because it would be better as an 8-10 episode limited series.
