Agreed re learned skill. I think most people pigeonhole themselves saying so and so doesn’t vibe with them, but it’s likely that their brain is just new to it and needs to habituate

That said, I can’t hang onto an audio narrative to save my life and it would likely take a lot of practice to do so

I mean this isn't really a plot. I guess it could be a good inciting incident but you'd need to probably give us more of the story before we can give any solid feedback regarding it's quality.

Your comments read really ableist, privileged and insensitive.

You don’t know what people need to help them.

Suggesting someone with severe disabilities a book that is basically ‘just get over it and be happy - you actually haven’t lost anything’ is rude and entitled.

Books are no guarantee of fixing anything.

I felt the same way! I too have mixed feelings with the book but I really liked Harry. His relationship with Evelyn was the most memorable and my favorite part of the book. >!I was literally sobbing at the part where she was saying her final goodbye to him on at the hospital!<
