The most important thing to know about Baltimore rowhouses is there's never a simple answer.

In most rowhouses the brick party wall goes to the roofline and can serve as a firewall. However, there is some older stock where the party wall doesn't go all the way to the roof and the houses share a small crawl space. In some houses (like mine) there are spots in the wall where there is wood embedded, so the wall isn't solid brick.

Lol, I saw that. It is true… but honestly I think it’s hilarious. Things along the lines of asking that people don’t dance and jump in the elevator because it will cause it to malfunction or to not put certain things in bulk trash. Sometimes they’re definitely meant to be kind of funny and snarky. But overall, he was a great manager and took care of things so the notes never bothered me!

Worth mentioning, Baltimore has been experimenting with getting more fresh produce to corner stores since around 2014.

I’m not sure how well it’s gone, and assume that coronavirus put a dent in those efforts.

For many, sometimes proximity is well worth the higher prices. Obviously not the best full grocery experience, but often that’s a real gap.

For Cajun bar food and crawfish I love the Boot in the heights. I think Calliope’s is the best po boy. For a nicer dinner Brennans, which is the same family as Commanders Palace in New Orleans.

But the real houston speciality is Viet-Cajun. For that Crawfish & Noodles is my favorite.

I feel like I've seen them up at Valley View before, and I know B.Willow stocks larger tropical plants. If I were you, I'd check out B.Willow, maybe even ask about a custom order, and then check Valley View.

I rented from Urban Phoenix and they were always quite good, and really saved my ass by not taking my deposit for some damage they classified as wear and tear when it could have been blamed on me. Their properties are mostly in the Pigtown/Hollins Market area (or at least they were back when I rented from them).

Once under Vista Management, but not sure what they’re under now, The Preston in Midtown-Belvedere was a great place for us to rent. The manager keeps up with everything really well. He stays on top of cleanliness and getting things fixed. Handled the pandemic well. He’s passive aggressive with notes to tenants about annoying things, but I always just found it kind of funny. I feel that the apartments are a good space for the price. Bigger than a studio and around 1200-1300. And the best part, the view!
