29 does see congestion in that area during prime commute times. Typically I get snarled in the afternoon going north, so if /u/jasonpaulhowie is going south(70->29->100) at a time that isn't morning rush hour it should be okay. Just be advised, 29->100 is gonna be one of our lovely left side exits. We don't have a "keep right" law in MD, so it's 100% legal for you to make your way over and stay left to ensure you make the exit.

Yep, there’s stuff to do in the immediate area but most of the good stuff is quite a bit further away. And doesn’t really match up the offerings of the west coast. Although we hit the White Mountains last year during peak foliage and that was fantastic.

How do they even go about contacting/measuring these people in the first place, coldest night of the year or not?

I would guess there’s practically no chance the overwhelming majortity of the homeless have reliable contact info, and having city agents canvass the entire city is a practical nonstarter

I guess it seems like every method I can think of for attempting to track homelessness would be horrible best.

Yeah, she didn't deserve that 😔😔. I used to be closed-minded about that stuff in those areas, but it's a cold world over there. I always try to advocate for ways to get kids and youth educated in other things early so they don't get caught in the trap of "the game." But in those places, it's hard because the city literally left those places to fall apart.

Everyone deserves the chance to go home and be treated with respect, it definitely gets you farther in life.

No idea how it's calculating a 3% difference when the average single family home sold in Denver is over twice the price of that in Baltimore. I've been looking at housing there (not apartments so not much insight there) for a while and it's ridiculous. Housing is most people's largest monthly expense, so while you can probably get your groceries for around the same price, it's not nearly as livable.

I've been off all weekend and just saw this. Do you have a place to cook/prepare food? I have managed to acquire way too many canned goods (corn, peas, beans, tomatoes, etc.) and could let you have a large-ish supply. Probably have some pasta as well. Drawback is that I have no car, do not drive, and am now in process of prepping for a procedure on Wednesday (ugh!) If you have exhausted possibilities closer to you, let me know and I can meet you downstairs at my building tomorrow with a couple of bags. Be welcome to PM me if this will be any manner of use to you.

ETA: Also canned tuna and canned chicken.

I'm glad it seems to be helping. There's people who still need housing snd drug abuse recovery assistance. For example, there's this serious tent city neighborhood near Dundalk at the corner of Holabird Ave and Dundalk. It's located around the corner from BD health which is a methadone clinic. These people need housing assistance and substance abuse counseling.

[Illegal taxi operation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illegal_taxi_operation#:~:text=Hacks or hackers is a,classes of licensed transportation providers.)

>Illegal taxicabs, sometimes known as pirate taxis, gypsy cabs, or jitney cabs, are taxicabs and other for-hire vehicles that are not duly licensed or permitted by the jurisdiction in which they operate. Most major cities worldwide require taxicabs to be licensed, safety-inspected, insured as for-hire vehicles and use taximeters and there may also be requirements that the taxi driver be registered or accredited. However, many unlicensed cabs are in operation. Illegal cabs may be marked taxi vehicles (sometimes referred to as "speedy cabs"), and others are personal vehicles used by an individual to offer unauthorized taxi-like services.
