Ypu could have a parking enforcement walk around the Inner Harbor all day and ticket people.

They like to stop on Lombard outside BCCC in the no stopping area too.

But police don't care. One guy was parked in no parking outside 7-11 on Market Place. Bus was trying to turn onto Market but couldn't because of this asshat. It blocked 2 la especially of Lombard for 5 minutes.

Cops right there. Did nothing.

Other places have found just putting up a new chimney doesn’t usually work. They think it might be due to porous condition of the old bricks or something. There was some discussion of making a cast of the inside of the chimney for a new chimney, which would be an innovative experiment but apparently the owner wasn’t happy with the idea of “inviting a bunch of birds to shit on the property.”

Atwater’s is not a NOLA king cake. Eddie’s is slightly closer, but not good. Just get delivered from NOLA.

Yeah. I don’t want to be there when someone like you walks up. My dog has never bitten, but she sounds really scary. I don’t want to have to try to explain myself when I have no justification for being there. All while my dog channels her inner cujo voice. Not good PR for the large dog crowd.

I live near MaGerks and honestly the surrounding parklets are very often trashed beyond belief by the late night after bars closed crowd that’s bringing liquor bottles and blunt guts and tons of take out food containers and beer bottles and vomit and half eaten food and used tampons/condoms. It looks like an actual dump sometimes if u get there before the Saturday and Sunday morning litter pickup team (who I am so grateful for!)

A sqft fee that adapts to the street in question is probably the best route tbh rather than trying a city-wide flat fee that tries to avoid losses anywhere. Like a neighborhood where losing parking spaces isn’t a huge issue or a street with a more pedestrian feel should be cheaper, and definitely shouldn’t be raised to match this loss.

Thirding Revival. Reasonable prices, smack in the middle of interesting architecture/famous shit/decent bars and restaurants/, few tourists vs. downtown, and a good community member that supported displaced businesses and ran food giveaways during the pandemic. Hotel Indigo meets many of those criteria as well, though a bit farther from Ottobar.
