I just did it myself. At the top where the Baltimore subreddit is highlighted next to it put in "best crab cakes" and you will find a number of posts that answer that question.

The guy at cafe on the square brews me a decaf iced tea every morning. Kirbies and cafe on the square two different animals. Kirbies definitely better for the grilled food and fries. Cafe has some good cold sandwiches. Both hit the spot and were always better options than the Panera that had been around the corner.

Looking forward to another BMore classic in CVille. The CVille Gourmet also has solid sea food options.

Good idea. I shared over on the other post. You know, I’ve never actually tried Cafe on the Square…bc above and beyond the food and service, Kirbies won my loyalty with their fresh brewed iced tea.

Love that house. Looks like a little kitty fight club.

I like Koko’s.
Not sure if they are still good, but my high school job was at Romano’s on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie and the crab cakes were very good. I haven’t had one in many years, but they used to ship them like G and M does and people ordered them all the time.

In Harford County, haven’t found one better than Box Hill. Pappas is very good In Baltimore.

and the price is right which probably dovetails nicely with the post asking for cheap lunch specials. That and cafe on the square around the corner to little gems

Another vote for Costas! Almost never gets mentioned but the consistency of their crabcake through the years is impressive. Don’t let the place fool you, the food is great.

It's mid. Like I said it's fine but I don't want fine when I'm paying a lot of money for a crab cake.

I love how most of your problems have nothing to do with the crab cakes. Like you're so wrapped up in automotive and age identity politics you can't even enjoy food.

Kocos was excellent before ppl outside the neighborhood knew they existed. Bc of the volume, the service is now iffy and the quality/ taste of the CC truly depends on the day you go. Real hit or miss. We were loyal but nah!
Jimmy’s was on our sh*t list for using too much filler but we recently gave them a chance and we’re surprised that the quality improved A LOT! Pappas is alright and if you feel like being adventurous, Costas on North Point is good!

Nicks Fish House and Gertrudes are my favorite places to get a crab cake!
