I don't want fine if I'm paying for a crab cake though. I want damn good. Besides that, the place seems to attract exclusively the oldest, worst drivers in that area. The average age of their dining room is probably 55+

I'm sorry but your comment is completely uncalled for. I responded twice to OP in a civil manner and they insulted me both times and lied about their own experience in order to exaggerate their point for some reason. I don't have to just take that. OP has like 100 downvotes while I have upvotes, it seems like my comment was completely called for.

They have been on Reddit for about ten years. This is the first time they have ever posted in the Baltimore subreddit.

  1. How do you not know how to find posts about crab cakes in Baltimore after all that time being on reddit in general.

  2. There is no way you would have a hard time finding a discussion on crab cakes in Baltimore.

Ah okay, so if you are familiar with Ottobar, you're likely aware of similar places.

Yeah, I'm not sure where you'd find a lounge like that. If it doesn't need to be exactly that, but you're just looking for something a bit different, maybe you just want to look for places and events that are a bit more quirky?

If that's the case, Creative Alliance in Paterson Park could be of interest. I went to an "interactive movie" night there recently, and it was a little wacky and pretty fun. Also, I haven't been able to get there yet (plan to soon), but Red Emma's seems to have events that are a bit different.

It's mostly music shows, but Balt Showplace also has the above types of events listed. If you haven't ever looked at the site before, check it out! Super useful for finding out about events across the city:

I only go for their crabcakes and when my folks are in town. Boomers are easily impressed by the joint for some reason.

But the crabcakes are good. I haven't had Olive Grove but I'll have to give it a try. My neighborhood is getting a new Faidley's soon so I'll probably swear by that soon enough.

Opened a can of worms. Some people say Pappas and Kocos but then some say they are trash. I can give you some recommendations from my list, they are rated Good, Eh and Sucks

Ill send in a message, it has links and stuff
