I mean the case for the city to make it harder to commute into the city by car could help it in a number of ways, while hurting it in others. These roads where put in to help build suburbia, and have been used to siphon money and population away. If the city is going to focus more on residents, it makes sense to make the city more attractive to live in.

Wish they gave us square footage on the comps. It's my understanding that comps are used to establish a price per square foot. Then you use that price per square foot to determine the appropriate price for the house in question. They mention a significant above ground square footage difference between the house in question and the neighboring house that sold for 460k or whatever it was. Are we comparing a 2400sqft 3/2 to a 2500sqft 3/2? In which case it's likely a fair comp, or are we comparing a 2000sqft 3/2 to a 3000sqft 5/3 in which case, yeah it's probably racist AF.

No Land Beyond does commander on Wednesdays!!! It's hella fun.

There's a pretty sizable local magic discord, but it seems like they only like playing limited and cube. That's very much not my thing, but it might be yours!

No Land Beyond is worth mentioning again.

Games and Stuff south of the city is just awesome and huge.

Walt's in Dundalk seems to have games going at least on weekends.

Level-Up Games. New place in Dundalk only open Saturday afternoons until they open. Looks to be very cool.

There are a ton of stores around the beltway as well. We're one of the most avid cities in the world for the Legacy format for example. I only play competitively so I don't know much about casual nights, but I've seen commander players every Wednesday at Levelup in Glen Burnie, and I assume most stores have at least one commander night, in case your closest store doesn't fit your schedule.

Starting nearly 5 years ago I think there's been a series of consultative meetings and neighborhood input; and an environmental impact plan done. I agree that this needs to continue and resident's concerns addressed, but all I read here was a lot of "if" and supposition- it's not clear exactly what of the projected and documented and disseminated impacts they are concerned about.

I'm not really sure #2 is very common compared to #1. I don't know anyone that wants to bring back all of the streetcars? It may be neat to have one or two for the nostalgia and maybe for tourists but that would be it. But i think the public transportation people are far more open to changing from a subway to a bus route than a car person is to changing anything at all. This isn't a "both sides" argument

Me too. I don't think they are very considerate of your neighbors. I mean, you're assuming a lot about your neighbors when you make a decision to use one of these. It wouldn't be kind where I live, and there is a mix of young and old.

How old is your house, and do you still have any knob and tube wiring? Be aware that it is a fire hazard to have insulation touching knob and tube. We still had knob and tube up there, so that had to be replaced before we could have insulation blown in. It did make a noticeable difference in winter.
