Baltimore is built for decent density. Unfortunately, the high number of vacants means the actual density falls short.

You like horribly overcooked hockey puck burgers?
I had one once years and years ago when I still are burgers and I still remember it as the worst burger I’ve ever attempted to eat. I couldn’t get more than a bite in. It was so bad it was memorable.

There was a really great plan posted here a couple months back. It was an urban planner I believe

Pilots have this term called "get-home-itis". I'm already here, and I just have to get over there, I just need to get home.
It reminds me of those foolish, foolish people who drive into water they can't see the bottom of.

That's what I don't understand as well. How are people getting to and from the city from the north in this scenario? Sure, it would be great to have more greenspace and fewer roads everywhere, but does that mean we will also close the light rail and businesses, too?

When I read the complaints and rebuttals from the council members, I think:
why doesn't the city council/city draft a counter proposal. All of their complaints can be fixed and addressed via contract managemen
And then I remember it's Baltimore city, and the council members are clowns who put performative reelection antics over anything else.

Heard it last night here in Fed Hill as well. I assumed it was a slow moving /idling train somewhere though.

This is an update to an article that was posted on this sub a few months ago. The appraiser is now suing the couple who alleged discrimination(who are professors at Hopkins apparently).

Service was always perfect. Picked up when scheduled and sometimes dropped off early but that wasn’t a problem. About $1.99/lb. I would leave the laundry on my porch in an Ikea bag. I alway asked that they didn’t wrap it in plastic when they returned it because that seemed unnecessary.

This perfectly describes a sound that I hear in a certain spot between my house and the grocery store. I'd be so pissed if I lived next door to someone that operated one of these all the time.

Why not live closer to Annapolis. Hamden to Annapolis is a hike if you have to commute.

It could be that they're proud to show off the work they do. Road work and DOT can be a very thankless job. So it's nice to get recognized by the public and the bosses

One issue is we have so few viable alternatives to driving right now.

If the bottom picture were Baltimore the stream and the grass next to it would be choked with garbage and litter.
