People who don’t want to do street parking can go to one of the many liquor stores that don’t require it. They’re already in a car. For people that are willing to park on the street, Wine Source has shopping carts and helpful staff that will help you to your car. I don’t want my neighborhood to become a parking lot.

Scooters, bikes, furniture, etc fall under abandoned property and technically you can keep them if you want. I've been notifying the scooter companies about the items and they come and get them.

If they're not picked up in a timely manner, /u/bmorecitydot fines them :)

Guns are reported and picked up by the police.

I would delete this post and tell NOBODY if your going to the authorities. Better safe than sorry, who knows who actually owns that operation. So for your safety I would be Anonymous and not say a word to anyone that you reported that house.

Seeing your magnet fishing hauls is always the highlight of my day. Btw seeing you guys do this gave me a little inspiration to buy a couple trash grabbers and walk with my family around the neighborhood to pick up roadside trash. Not as cool as magnet fishing obviously but my kids think it's crazy good fun. Cheers.

Sure but that doesn't really solve anything, right? Some people don't feel comfortable street parking. And also some people buy a ton of heavy shit from liquor stores and need/want to park close.

I am pro less parking in general, but a liquor store seems like one of the places that needs a lot of parking.

It's mind-blowing how few elected officials will even attempt to address violent crime. They are perfectly fine to watch hundreds of people violently die in the streets as long as it doesn't impact their political futures. Honestly, when 5 CHILDREN were shot, their councilperson immediately sprung into action to...fine Popeyes. It's inhumane and unfathomable how little political will there is to fix this.

i appreciate the input here - i know reddit to be a place that usually leans towards doing things the right way and to not pull punches, so i wanted to make sure i wasnt being irresponsible by leaving the permit issue alone.

it sounds like i can get the bedroom / bathroom listing updated without dealing with the permit issue which seems like my best option

Very cool! If you find something like a scooter that belonged to the city or one of those rental places, do you have to notify or give it back to them? Or do you get to keep anything you find as salvage?

Edit: Ah I see in another response you said scooters are reported.

What about if you find a weapon - I assume you have to report that too?

Yea that's again easily fixable through contact control and permitting.

Contact includes a clause saying BGE must leave space for city fiber.

And when each new conduit is build, in the permit process, the city requires space for the said fiber conduit. If it's not shown on the permit submission, it's rejected.

Every other city has does it differently besides Baltimore. I love Baltimore city with all my heart. But I can say, i don't think Baltimore is the only one who knows this some secret of owning conduit is some genius stroke.

Seeing the work BGE does when installing gas mains. Fuck this.

>A draft agreement – submitted to Scott officials by BGE’s Chief Financial Officer David Vahos on January 13 – would terminate the company’s roughly $32 million-a-year rental payments to the city in return for making roughly the same dollar amount of capital improvements per year.

If the goal is $32 million per year of capital improvements, why not just use the rental payments?

If the city doesn't want to do it themselves, they could literally sub out everything from design, to project management, to construction. It's not like there aren't 6+ big name civil engineering firms within a half mile of downtown.
