“The AmeriCorps program had awarded the state a grant of a little more than $1 million in 2016 to fund various volunteer programs in Maryland, including rewards for volunteers such as tickets to the Maryland State Fair and to Baltimore Ravens games.

But an investigation found “widespread violations” of the requirements for using the money. Fair tickets were given to people who were not eligible, including state employees, and state employee salaries were charged to AmeriCorps without proof those employees worked on the AmeriCorps grants.”

Just FYI, retail pharmacy staffing is in pretty rough shape across the board these days (especially with pharmacy techs), and the pharmacists are exhausted from giving COVID shots. The whole industry is kinda ragged right now, and my guess is that experiences will vary from day today, even at the same store.

I use Mimikay and really like the pharmacist. I don’t think they are open on Sunday, but have regular hours until 6pm during the week and a half day on Saturday. Have always gotten good service there and it’s beats the circus at the Rotunda Walgreens.

Wow you’re generalizing all disabled people which is the definition of ableist. While I simply said “it’s ableist of you to claim disabled people can’t ride bikes.” So I cited data that showed you were wrong, you doubled down and proved me correct, then since you knew you did, you goal post moved to yet another incorrect and easily disprovable position. Again, just go away troll.

Ehh. It’s a fantastic public transit, bikeable and walkable area. If you can ditch your car to move there do it. Most resources you’ll need are within walking distance and the light rail is usually within a few blocks. Amtrak and Acela at Penn station, Maryland Ave bike lane. Even the subway is reachable via the light rail. That area is really just rich with alternate transit means. Probably the best in the city frankly. Not necessarily somewhere I’d live if you have to drive to get to work out in the county somewhere or drive around for work. It’s a densely populated urban core with parking restrictions on some streets and meters on some others and not anywhere near enough parking for all of the residents (if they all owned cars.)

Reply to Bus Lane Laws by siwel3

The bus lane should be treated similarly to a light rail track.

If you’re trying to get in the garage, wait outside of the bus lane (in the street) until it’s clear, and try to be in the bus lane as little as possible.

The same thing for coming out, don’t wait in the bus lane.

The reason for this is that busses are super long, and if you’re blocking it, the bus could then be blocking much more traffic behind it.

Also; these bus lanes are used for emergency and maintenance vehicles, so it’s extremely important to keep the clear.
