The most frustrating thing about the mta's data reporting is how they report OTP, but completely ignore cut runs. I did a bunch of work with the MTA data a few years ago, and I don't think there was any way to track the number of cut runs unless you pulled all of the real time data and stored it (which I did and still struggled to get a good number).

As someone working in the legal field and deals with courts on the daily, try speaking to someone else in the district court. Sometimes certain employees are new and don’t know, it’s worth it to try to speak to another employee. If all else fails go to the courthouse and ask, someone will have an answer.

It’s a very popular shop in Baltimore where they make chicken sandwiches with bao buns. It’s good, but it’s been so hyped that by the time I tried it, my expectations were definitely higher than what I got. It’s like that movie that you would have thought was “decent”, but because everyone said it was “amazing”, you leave the theater disappointed.

So I don’t agree with the commenter who says it’s “not good”, but I also wouldn’t plan my trip to Bmore around it…

Im expecting to get downvoted like crazy. But I find Ekiben decent but also very overrated. In my experience their chicken was greasy and tendon-y, and the sandwich was overall hard to eat. But I know I’m in the minority so I’ll take the abuse lol.

I also feel this way about BRD but maybe that’s for another thread….

Thought I’d share that these cuties are all healthy and ideal fosters.

They’ve gotten their first vaccination and are going through a round of dewormer treatment. They’re eating a ton, are super playful, and pretty receptive to pets. We’ve still got a long way to go on getting them more comfortable with being held, but progress is definitely being made there.

Litter box training is also in progress too - though there’s definitely room for improvement. I think we’re seeing consistent pees in the box but a couple of them need to work on getting their poo in the box instead of next to it. Baby steps!

I’d expect them to be available for adoption through Passport Animal Rescue sometime mid to late February.

Daily cuts are generally like single digit percentage these days. Some routes end up with more trips cut than others. Routes with higher frequency are more likely to have cuts so that already infrequent routes don't end up stranding people forever. (Cutting a trip on a route that runs every 10 minutes leads to a 20 minute gap between trips while cutting a trip on a route that comes every 30 minutes results in a 60 minute gap.)

There is a manpower shortage nationwide in the transit industry. MDOT MTA isn't unique in that challenge.

If you have a child whose 5th grade or under, they can do Read to Reef. I think it's once or twice a year you can pick up a bookmark and read (or read with them) a certain # of books and get 4 free aquarium tickets

Maillard is good but pekara on cold spring is outrageous (in the delicious way). It’s the owner of the former Roggenart from falls rd/MtW

I’d grab something there and there is a little park just east on cold spring for the goblin, or come to hampden and take your pick of a few parks.

ETA: dulceology in fed hill has cronuts (order ahead) and alfajores, as well as a bunch of other delights.
