At the Amish Market on York Rd in Cockeysville, Maryland is a vendor slash artist who does screen painting, and paints the back of crab shells and makes them into Xmas ornaments.

I park for free a couple of blocks away from The Wharf...using street parking after 6pm ;) (shows at the anthem are the only reason I go there)

The DC subreddit would like a word. The closest metro stops to the wharf are SW waterfront and L’enfant

But the Wharf has decent public transit access and you can walk to and from it and actually feel safe.

Couldn't their boyfriend have moved the car? I am sure the judge would be asking the same thing.

A friend moved to Arizona and we gave her a "box set" of Baltimore-filmed videos like Hairspray, Sleepless in Seattle, 12 Monkeys, etc. (this was many years ago!).

Reply to comment by rosebud30 in Best veterinarian for cats in/around Baltimore? by kmilvin
I was just on the hunt for a new vet for my cat a month or so ago, and my research overwhelmingly pointed to Everhart. So glad I went with them! My cat is extremely anxious at the vet, too, and Everhart's layout and staff couldn't have made it better for my baby.
Quality of Care: Once you check in, they have a space where you can let your animal play (so I hear), but usually they just take you right to the exam room. It's super spacious, not full of cold steel, and the vet and techs were all extremely reassuring (to both me and my cat). There are little boxes for the cats to hide/explore in in each room which was a thoughtful touch.
They noticed when my cat was anxious or feeling squirrelly and respected his space which made him feel so safe and secure (a FIRST for my cat at the vet)!! They were so kind, accommodating, and understanding. AND I'm almost 100% certain the vet stayed late just to answer my long list of questions; something most vets would brush off. We got some cute homemade bandanas on our way out that we ended up taking xmas photos with! I can't sing their praise enough. You can really tell they love and care for the animals they treat.
Full-Service: They also have their surgery and urgent care hospital in-house, which ultimately made it a no-brainer for me. I like that my cat will already be an existing patient if I ever have to take him to the pet-ER again.
Cost: I researched and compared the cost of care for routine trips (like vaccines) and as unforeseen worst-case scenario events all of the good vets in Baltimore City and County. Everhart was the cost-effective move overall. I felt a thousand times more confident knowing that I'm getting top-quality care without having to compromise my limbs.

Reply to Carjacker racks up traffic tickets in 2020, owner waits on City to clear them by Consumergal
We all know that carjackers are not likely to follow traffic safety laws upon driving away with a victim's automobile.
This situation should never have gotten this far along. Sounds like something that the mayor or the car owner's city councilmember should be able to resolve with a few phone calls.

I parked at The DC Wharf underground garage once last year for around 4 hours and had to pay $45. I will not be parking there again.

I agree with you, sir. Even Columbia Mall seems to be slowly transitioning into a strip mall. As someone who grew up in the old-school enclosed malls, it is kind of sad that they are obsolete.

Be sure to budget 1.5 to 2 hours minimum to get a table at Clavel, and if you get there any later than 5:30 or 6 you're screwed. You can put your name down at Clavel and have pre-drinks at WC, but be prepared to WAIT. (They don't take reservations)

Before here I lived in the Seattle area. Hard for me to gauge cost of living since everything seems so much cheaper than where I was but for the most part it seems pretty on par with the us average maybe slightly higher? Social wise there's a lot to do and people are generally pretty laid-back and easy to talk to. Public transit is a little abysmal so you may need a car depending on which neighborhood you live in and work. That said it's pretty easy to get to other metropolitan cities in the northeast by train. Safety is largely neighborhood/block dependant, so far I haven't had any run ins. Porch pirates are a really problem so you'll probably want a PO box if you receive a lot of packages. Restaurants tend to put old bay in everything which gets a little annoying but it's a Maryland thing.

We just did Koba Korean BBQ last weekend and it was a blast. I fully admit Jong Kak is better, but quite a bit more expensive. Korean BBQ is Covid safe due to the vent hoods above the tables all moving air continuously. Also, Apple Soju is great, but at 12% it hit me.

It's messed up that this would happen, but I could _somewhat_ understand some hourly worker at the city not being able to do anything about it. But the fact that a judge wouldn't dismiss all of this is completely asinine, criminal if you ask me.
