Shaw's in Shrewsbury had about 7 or 8 kinds of root beer the last time I checked there, although it's been a little while. Your standard IBC, Virgil's, Stewarts, Jones, but also a few brands I hadn't heard of.

Not exactly close, but if you end up in Merrimack, NH at the outlet stores, check out Sweetz & More https://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlet/merrimack/stores/sweets-more . Looks like there is one in Tilton, NH too, but the overall web presence itsn't great.

Worcester cannot host a casino under the current law. The Expanded Gaming Act created three regions, each of which could host one resort casino. Worcester is part of Region A, which already has the Encore. The Act also allowed one slots parlor statewide, which is Plainridge Park.

Big Y on Mayfield St. carries Harmony Springs. They have up to 20 varieties of soda and seltzer including sarsaparilla and most other types you'd think to find.
They are in a wooden box display on the register side between chips and sodas.

it could also be a worker stealing fish and fudging inventory.
if you've ever worked someplace where you make these packages and stickers, you know that genuine errors usually involve the wrong code resulting in a different unit price, not the actual weights of only a few packages.
if it were a calibration issue they would all be off weight.

Grab some Moxie. Definitely unique to New England. Also Cracker Barrel, of all places, has what you're looking for. The closest one is in Sturbridge.

World Market in Framingham
Wholesome Farmers Market in Barre
Weird and eclectic soda mix. Also check out the Asian Market near Mill Street, they have weird chips flavors- bet they have unique sodas.

The last I can remember was years ago when it was proposed and rejected, before Polar park was even decided on. Now with all the other developments going on I highly doubt it’s even a possibility. Besides you can get to at least 5 different casinos in an hour or less from here.

Sometimes That’s Entertainment has interesting sodas in their cooler by the registers. Otherwise if you want to make the drive to Natick, the mall has a store called Lolli and Pops where you can find both novelty and lesser known sodas.

The baseball stadium will likely not bring down property values or increase crime. Casinos typically bring property values down between -2 and -10%. Newer studies (most recently in MA) have shown that casinos can either raise crime rates or decrease them. It's a crap shoot.
I'd rather not take the risk.
For the record, I don't think the stadium will be a long term success. It's a novelty that will wear off soon. I hope they do add concerts and other non- baseball related events there to give non sports fans a reason to go and make the venue more multi-use.

Anybody thinking there is some nefarious Price Chopper led scam going on here is ... Entertaining? So much for the retail/food service worker solidarity popular on here. Someone fucked up because they were in a hurry or tired. Good to catch the mistake..bad to warm up the torches and pitchforks.

Yeah, they most likely left a second package on the scale while they weighed a few and were too lazy to notice or fix it

They also listened when people were against the renaming of Plantation street. If there are enough people against something that it causes people to speak out, then reps do listen to their constituents.
