Several things. First, the packages labelled for a pound of fish contained what appeared to be about the same amount of fish. Second, holding both packages, you could tell they weighed about the same, and one wasn't double the other. Third, as /u/sparr suggested, I checked against the produce scale. Finally, I had the cashier weigh them on their scales.

Eh, I really didn't expend that much energy.Being more active than others in a Facebook group doesn't make you a verified source of information. Sorry for being rude about it, but my hope is that you'll take this experience and apply more common sense when using the Internet in the future.

Also, how can you say I'm hostile when I wished you all the best?

Reply to comment by mtb40 in Airport Limo from JFK to Holden by mtb40

That is NOT a 3.5 hr drive. A trip from JFK to holden is going to push 5hrs. Just getting out of the city might take like a whole hour.

Why dump $200+ dollars and 5hrs when you can just buy a one way ticket from JFK to Worcester's airport or the airport in Providence for a fraction of the cost and time?

I was mostly kidding about using visual inspection of packages to say that a scale that has a weights and measures seal is inaccurate, but that doesn't translate well in text. I am very familiar with scales, markets, and the weights and measures department.

Well don't be terrified. When the question comes from someone active in that group with apparent ties to the sheriff's department, which in turn, makes it reasonable to wonder what other contacts they may have (city council, etc.), and isn't just some random 18 year old being a goof, it isn't unreasonable to wonder if there could be some rumblings not yet publicly known.

This being the case, a person could either, ask, answer, speculate, or ignore. All four options cost $0.00.

But now above all, my concern is what happened that led you to this point of expending your own energy to speak so hostile, condescending, and judgmentally to strangers? Do you want to talk about it?

Well being that the person who made the comment is active in that group and appears to have ties to the sheriff's department (which would mean who knows what connects they may even have to the city council, etc.), there is no reason for me not to consider there could be some rumblings.

That being the case, since I don't know each individual person that peruses this sub, I also don't know if there are is someone that frequents this sub that may have heard or seen something that isn't readily available information as of yet.

If this is so, they should put it in the downtown area. Anywhere else will impact residential property values negatively. A casino downtown could benefit other businesses or it could mean their end. Casinos generally are self contained, with hotels, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. That could negatively affect other businesses but boost employment by a lot. Then there is the city's cut, this would mean more money for schools, infrastructure and public safety. It's a lot to think about.
