We have SunRun and your right it's a complete scam. We had an issue due to installation and they tried to charge us for their technician to come out. What happened was since installing the system our electric bill went up out of control costing us over $600 a month. Our average bill was around $50 to $75 dollars before it was installed. I called SunRun to talk to them about the problem and they started hanging up on us and blaming us for tampering with their brand new installed system then blamed the electric company who we did have come out and inspected the system. The electric company did multiple testing including shutting off the solar system and discovered that the solar system was causing the electric meter to run faster 🤔 So instead of saving us money it was costing us more in the bill. I called SunRun and they said since the electric company tampered with their system our warranty is void and refused to send out a technician unless we agreed to pay a minimum of $250.... I lost my temper and called the news 😡 Here is the results https://turnto10.com/i-team/consumer-advocate/exeter-rhode-island-solar-panels-installed-incorrectly#

I'm lucky to park within 100 yards of my home these days, and the winter promises to make things even worse.

I'd like to inquire about your rental fees. Worcester rent is really taxing its toll on me.

Put up SunRun Solar 5 years ago through Costco. Never had a problem. A couple years ago they detected my array was producing a lower amount that the previous year and came out to inspect. Other that the little rubber caps falling off the mounting rails they used, no issues with the equipment or company.....so far.

Yeah I had one for the side of the street that I live on and then sometime last year half the resident permit parking signs just got torn down so it's a free for all with college kids 🙃

If i recall correctly they do card at the door. Don't know if OP is under 21 but that's something to keep in mind if anyone reading this is under 21.

We had a rejection for the passenger side seatbelt weight sensor, was 3k to fix and did not affect anyone else. Tickets for parked rejects is pretty oppressive on triple decker streets. The part wasn’t even available during the chip shortage.

Yup and depending on what rebates and financing options are available through federal and state programs, you could get a 0% or low % loan which makes it more than worth it. Plus you’ll start getting rebates on any over production. We are super glad we went solar

You say you're near a college. Do you need a Resident Permit to park on the street? The city gives out the permits to long-term residents of the neighborhood. That way, the people living there can park on the street and the college kids would be ticketed.

I have sunrun on my house and love it. I’m assuming your attorney would have been able to get you the agreement prior to you agreeing with your purchase?
If you read the agreement, you should be able to purchase the lease off with a buyout. But from how ours reads, we are simply purchasing the KWHs we would have been buying from national grid anyways, at a much lower rate. Did you see the news about Nat grid going up 64%? Might want to do more research before taking those panels off.

Did you not review with your lawyer when you bought the house? Your fault for not doing your due diligence for a home purchase.

You can't just dump your non-working vehicle on the street. People with working cars need that space!
kondor88 t1_iwv0yjy wrote
It is a city. No one is entitled to the street unless its a reserved spot or residents only. Even then, if people started leaving unusable/broken down cars that's really not fair to those seeking a spot. 60 days to make it street legal seems fair.

If you plan to park long-term on the street, also make sure your registration is up to date to avoid an "abandoned vehicle" ticket.
Parking in Worcester can be a drag and I feel your pain. Their website has some FAQs that might help avoid future trouble: https://www.worcesterma.gov/parking

Pretty sure the crime here was leaving the car on the street unrepaired for over 2 months without re-inspecting.
Not sure what's oppressive about the safety checklist outside of a license plate lightbulb being out. I'd rather not share the road mid-February with someone on bald tires.
