The only way Solar makes sense is if you purchase the system outright so you can take advantage of the tax credits and accelerated depreciation. Most people are not doing this therefore the monthly savings from leasing are not significant enough to have it make sense. The technology is still relatively new and it should get more efficient and affordable over the next 10 years.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure this is a nationwide thing. Shortage of PCPs too. Shortage of nurses, physicians, pharmacists, most healthcare professionals. Yet the government decided that Medicare reimbursement for hospitals should be further decreased (it was already low compared to private insurances), meaning hospitals like UMass that get a lot of patients on Medicare and Medicaid get even less funding. As a safety net hospital, it's already difficult to stay afloat financially but I think this huge mess goes all the way up to our government. At its core, our healthcare system is so messed up. We have an aging population and have not figured out how to solve the healthcare worker shortage, and the current healthcare workers are becoming stretched so thin and burned out and patients are dying because of it.

The cities solution to a bad investment was to ticket it’s residents and working class. That’s just the way it is. I owed about 550 for just going to work in the canal district during games. Unfortunately municipal lots were generally full, and on street parking which I did pay for most of the time is limited to two hours.

Obviously this is not the case for everyone but people abuse the ER when it’s cold.

Also, since people can’t afford doctors. They go to the ER instead.

Also, people abuse the ER for profit. I work in insurance so many people go to the ER for accidents with no damage; just to profit from “pain & suffering”

Our healthcare workers do a great job. Nothing but respect to anyone in that field.

I am hosting a Flea Market at Hotel Vernon on December 10th from 12PM-6PM. A bar might not be what you’re looking for, but there will be plenty to do that doesn’t involve alcohol :)

My house came with a vivint solar system with a lease. They were awesome. Then they sold to sun run. My panels were down all summer they finally “fixed” them yesterday. So the entire summer season I lost generation during the entire peak season and they didn’t care.

I’m assuming these panels are leased.

Did your attorney not review the lease contract since it was part of the sale? You were responsible for doing the due diligence to investigate and understand the terms of the lease contract prior to buying the house. Your attorney was literally the perfect person to seek assistance from in that effort.

I know the housing market has been insane and places are going under contract quickly, but there’s a reason it’s harder to sell a house with leased panels.

Also, it’s kind of crazy what can be easily found via a very quick Google: https://www.realsimple.com/work-life/money/saving/solar-energy-system-lease Lease buyout options When it comes to buying out a lease agreement, there's generally a few options. If you've leased from Sunrun, a company that pioneered the solar lease and solar power purchase agreement (PPA) structure back in 2007, the options include a cash buyout, or a full amount solar lease buyout.Jul 20, 2021
