I'm skeptical she's worried about the election

This headline should read Maura Healey does something a week before the election. She spent her term as AG letting illegal criminals out the back doors of our courts so they can continue with crimes like murdering two innocent doctors or wasting our tax dollars suing the federal government but a week before the election this comes out. Good for them for acting on this but I’ll bet it could have been announced a month ago.

I think you could probably find a plethora of labor violations in a vast majority of restaurants, and I've worked for some sleazy assholes in my day, but everybody knows you don't mess with minors' scheduling restrictions.

“The office's Fair Labor Division began investigating the Westford Group after a minor employee filed a complaint alleging that they were required to work more than 10 hours per day.”
Well done 👍

Las Casas, who was known for hyperbole and exaggeration, didn’t arrive on Hispaniola until 1502, a full decade after the first voyage. He wasn’t explicitly against the Spanish treatment of the native population until after he participated in the horrific Spanish invasion of Cuba in 1513. His “A Short Account of the Destruction of the Indies” wasn’t published until 1552, half a century after he arrived in the New World.
It’s also important to note that the Spaniards weren’t particularly bloodthirsty men for their time. The first people Columbus encountered were there because they were fleeing their homes after they had been invaded by a cannibalistic tribe of warriors.

I have 2 bedroom in Webster. It’s not vacant and I charge $1300, it’s across the street from the lake and has a legal third tiny bedroom. I can’t justify more of a rent increase when the latest gov report says I should be charging $1600+
New cabinets. Fresh paint. New floors. 2 driveways.

It’s honestly enough to make me “unalive” myself. I have a good job with full benefits. Making about $55K before OT and differential. I’m waitlisted for nursing school, so this is the salary I’m stuck with for the next few years. I make too much on paper to qualify for any kind of assistance. Im single and live with a roommate.
I can’t do it any more. I don’t know what to do. Something has to change. The state needs to open their pockets to middle income residents, even if it’s temporarily.

I went to whiskey on water this weekend and they were charging $20 at the door for a cover just to get in. I got no problem paying a cover, but inside it wasn’t even that popping. No live music and not even that many people in costumes. Lame as heck

Small towns aren't even that cheaper for renting. The best you can do for a 2 bedroom right now is 1500 and that's for an absolute shit hole.
But that extends in all directions. There was no "oh, it's an hour commute but it's cheaper. It's just an hour away and still 1.5k a month.

Yeah, we call it the Horknut1 because it gives out shitty snide comments when someone tries to explain a situation.
Edit: LOL guy doesn't know he got blocked and thinks I deleted my comments. The fuck would I want to deal with a troll leaving nasty comments for? Bye u/Horknut1 - nobody will miss your "wit."

She should be. Unlike legislators our Governorship is always a toss up.
