Definitely don't want to get taken for a ride, but don't want to choose based on price alone.

I don't have anything recent so my estimates would be off. I'd say that depending on roof size, height, and angles all play a role in the cost which is where you might see variations online without getting someone to look at it.

I've had really good luck with Empire roofing, though they'd gotten quite busy pre-Covid so not sure how they are now.

Also had Tip Top and can't recommend them to anyone. Had the guy out to look at a specific issue; didn't need the roof replaced but was fine having it replaced to address this one issue. They came out, replaced the roof and the issue remained. Had the sales guy come out again to look at it and he said that we never spoke about that issue....the issue that was the sole purpose for having the roof done. There were other issues with that job but that's the part that sticks the most.

It's been discussed a lot over the years. We're waiting on committee's recommendation, I believe. Charter is trying to be friendlier since citizens started pushing for it.

You could basically walk into any kitchen and say you're looking for work and get hired that day. I would just hide the fact that you're going to be temporary. The restaurant industry is hurting for people.

Yea, mainly on highway on-ramps, but I've walked down roads for miles doing the thumb out. I'd say hitchin is generally safe if you got common sense. If they seem sketchy, just make up an excuse to reject the ride, and always carry protection. As for stories, I got a couple, but my favorite one recently was I got a ride on he back of a motorcyle. As we were mobbing down the highway, the dude just handed me a breadstick from his coat pocket. Its the weird comical things that stick out. Most people just enjoy helping someone out and having conversation for their journey.

Okay. I've seen enough posts from this person on the same/similar subject that it's now suspect. Something seems just..... Weird.

We just had ours done. We got quotes in the fall of 2020 and didn’t go forward at that time, so I was really worried about how much more it would be now. We paid $10k all in, which was only $2kmore than our cheapest quote 2 years ago, so not that bad.

The well-known roofing companies were the highest quotes we got (tip top and kid-lukko). We called Seven Hills and they never returned our call.
