2020 happened. People's attitudes were changed by that, much more than some demonstration in Worcester, MA. And it's not like police weren't convicted of murder before that, or even before we had smartphones to record evidence.

My parents seemed to have horrible luck with cats. We tried adopting 3 different times and none of them lived long lives- 3 years at the most. I remember I was like 10 and new neighbors moved in upstairs that had a 20 year old cat. Was floored.
Parents ended up with a dog that lived 18 very happy and healthy years.

4 unrelated people in the same apartment, however that is structured on the lease. It is supposed to prevent operation of rooming houses in areas that aren't zoned for it.

Agreed that it's a systemic problem. The question we're responding to is "
what's the point of a protest when the right things are happening.
It's not fast enough? We should skip the trial and just hang them?
The problem with protests is that there are so many of them that they have become effectively meaningless.

Then your form of justice has been served. I think that’s a very reasonable ask, all things considered.

Justice, to me, means all five officers charged and and given a criminal trial.....
I was answering your question about what the OP thought justice looked like.

Reply to Buying Locally-Made Sugar-Free Sandwich Bread by Prof-J
Sure, sugar exists in bread in some form because of carbs, fermentation etc etc but yeah you can find bread that doesn't have sugar as an added ingredient. It's most common for good rustic bread not to have it. If you ask Birchtree or Crust which breads don't have sugar in their recipe, they should be able to tell you. As an actual baker, most breads I made did not use sugar in the recipe.

I mean, if people all over the country didn't come out and protest after George Floyd's murder, do you really think the officers involved in Tyre's murder would already be fired and arrested? Arrested even before the video came out?
The department's behavior was an acknowledgement that they were under public scrutiny, and protests should continue to remind governments that they are still under public scrutiny.

I know you're looking to buy, not bake, but the recipe below is seriously foolproof. I am not a baker - the only two things I bake are chocolate chip cookies and this bread. Despite my lack of skill, I make it twice a week and it turns out perfectly every time. I usually use half white flour and half whole wheat (Bob's Red Mill brand is my favorite). It also works with all whole wheat flour; I just prefer the half/half flavor and texture. All you need is a dutch oven, a cooling rack, and a reminder on your phone to make the dough the night before you want the bread (making the dough takes two minutes).
INGREDIENTS:
3 cups flour
1-5/8 cup water
spoonful active dry yeast
salt to taste

TECHNIQUE:
- Mix flour, water, yeast, and salt in a large bowl. Cover with towel or plastic wrap and let rise 12-18 hours (18 is better if you have the time) at room temp.
- 2 hours before baking, remove dough from bowl and shape into a ball. Cover loosely and let rise two more hours.
- 30-45 minutes before baking, preheat oven to 450 and insert your dutch oven to get it hot.
- Put dough in (hot) dutch oven; score if you like; cover and bake 30 minutes. Remove lid from pot and bake an additional 45 minutes. Set on rack to cool.
You can also sprinkle oats or seeds on top before baking with no ill effects if you want extra nutrition. This bread is seriously so simple and delicious that you will not have to buy grocery store bread any more once you get in a rhythm of making it regularly. It's not quite perfectly shaped for sandwiches, but that's a minor sacrifice I'm willing to make given how much money this saves and how delicious the bread turns out.

False premise. No one is saying charging the cops is a bad start. No one is suggesting that at all. What people are saying is that the problem is *institutional*, and this incident is merely a symptom of a larger problem.

Then you are tad early in your protest.
I'm thinking it has more to do with attention-seeking.

Because the problem is systemic therefore the jury pool's views will likely be skewed to a certain extent.
