We got our new meter yesterday. In 18 hours, we've used 9 kwh. Using that, we should use about 12 kwh per day and 360 every 30 days. Obviously that can fluctuate depending on what we're doing, but that's still less than half of what we were charged for last month.

I think NG was ripping us off with the old meter we had that we didn't know how to read and no one could explain how to read.

WRTA sucks. It's free now; great. You can not pay for the bus that doesn't come.

But really, why is there a driver shortage? Drivers get good pay.

There are people asking for money all over the city. Can these people not be trained to drive buses and, when that's been done, they get a decent middle-class lifestyle?

Public transit is a public good. It should be funded through taxation robust enough to pay the people who run it attractive and livable wages. This wouldn't necessarily require raising taxes; a better option would be to divert existing tax revenue from the excessive spending we currently allocate to military and police.

I’m a bus rider- five days a week, work related- so I get it. It would be great if they would at least be specific which runs exactly are being cancelled when they need to do so, with more than last minute notice. I assume that’s whats up with the new Friday rescheduling, but the random cancellations happen several days a week.

Also, their tracking system isn’t always accurate - not all buses show up on the tracker- so it’s impossible to know if/when a bus will ever show up.

Sucks.

We also use Child Health in Auburn. They can be hard to get on the phone on Mondays, but we've never had any issues getting sick visits/med checks/annual visits. I like their PCP and all of the other providers they've seen there. Also, they do their own covid testing in-house, which has been amazing because results have always come back within an hour for us.

They cancel busses regularly due to lack of drivers. Can happen any day, not necessarily just Monday. Follow them on Twitter for a heads up. (They have changed Fridays schedules, the specifics are on the website) Good luck
